I've had this team looked over in the "In-Game" thread, but I plan to use them outside that as well. So I placed them here, changing the team a bit from the comments I received.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Remodeled Platinum Team

    Lopunny:
    Nature: Jolly
    ability: Cute charm
    item: Nevermeltice

    Ice Punch
    Protect
    Quick Attack
    return

He's one of my most fastest pokemon. Good for a first time attacker, and Ice Punch to deal with the heavy Dragon, rock or ground type pokemon he comes across. Nevermeltice is to increase Ice Punch's effects. Quick Attack's in case the opponent tries to paralyze Lopunny to slow him down. Revenge attack them before they try to finish him off.

    Milotic
    Nature: Modest
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Item: Leftovers

    Rain Dance
    Surf
    Dragon Pulse
    Recover

Rain Dance (powers water attacks to 50%) + STAB (1.5x) makes Surf do over 200 damage. Dragon pulse was substitute for Ice beam when I found it wasn't working for me. Though I'm thinking about changing this attack too. Any suggestions would be nice. And Recover + Leftovers ensure Milotic stays in battle.

    Donphan
    Nature: Naughty
    Ability: Sturdy
    Item: Miracle Seed

    Seed Bomb
    Fire fang
    Earthquake
    Rock slide

Seed Bomb + Miracle Seed is very nice when up against ground, water and other pokemon Donphan can't hit with Earthquake. Fire fang's for the sake of a fire move for this team, and steel types that can't be harmed by earthquake (Skarmory, Scizor etc.). Rock slide's for flying, ice and bug type

    Gardevoir:
    Nature: Naive
    Ability: Trace
    Item: insect Plate

    Psychic
    Wish
    Reflect
    Signal beam

Signal beam are for psychic and dark pokemon. So far it's worked well when I tested it out, defeating the few dark type the trainer's sent in expecting to take down Gardevoir. Reflect's to compensate Gardevoir's lack of defense, and because of it he was able to shrug off physical attacks from a Gyarados that normally would have taken him out in 2 turns. Insect Plate's to help increase Signal beam's power, while STAB helps with psychic attack. When used correctly, wish helps to heal Gardevoir to be refreshed when battling another opponent, or to heal one of my team mates if he faints/switches out.

    Magnezone
    Ability: Magnet Pull
    Nature: Calm
    Item: Metronome

    Thunderbolt
    Magnet Rise
    Thunder Wave
    Mirror Shot

Magnet Rise has saved Magnezone from slower Ground types who used Earthquake a turn too late. Mirror shot for rock and Ground mostly; I've been thinking about changing this attack for a while, but I'm not sure what else are good against Rock and ground for Magnezone. Thunder wave if the pokemon is too fast, in case Magnezone can't defeat them, another of my team mates may have a shot at it. This one may need some adjustments too. I'm not really sure.

    Roserade
    Ability: Natural Cure
    Nature: Modest
    Item: Wide Lens

    Sludge Bomb
    Leaf Storm
    Aromatherapy
    Sleep Powder

Sleep Powder's tricky because of its low accuracy, but Wide Lens gives it at least a bit more accuracy for Roserade to make the opponent sleep. Sludge bomb for pokemon who are not very effective against Leaf Storm. Mainly grass, flying, fire and bug. Aromatherapy for in case most of my team's poisoned/ paralyzed/ burned/ asleep, Roserade can cure them all, and switch out and be cured by his ability if the opponent tries a status on him too.

Critiques on this team would be nice. and thanks.

From what I've heard, apparently it's good to have stealth rock on your team. I'm not sure where you could put it in, but it's just a bit of information to consider

My tip is to scrap your current team, and start from scratch..
Selecting a play-style/strategy that you want to utilize and build off of a central core of pokemon..
My team was built off of bulk and being able to compensate for each-other's weaknesses. For me it work's well because I have spent the last 2 month's tinkering with that team..

Pick pokemon you want in your core that will compliment your style of play, and build off that.

Edit: Try messing around with (www.smogon.com)'s suggestions for set's, and after you get familiar with the meta-game i suggest creating your own set's that are just as effective.. Seeing as most people's set's rely on the suggestions Smogon gives, creating your own move-set, EV investment and style that benefit's you in a sense make's what your using unpredictable.

For instance, I have a Gyarados on my team that once was a standard set from smogon.. I found a more effective variant of bulky Gyarados..My plan was to bring in Gyarados on anything that he resists. Now, when my Gyarados come's in 95% of the time my opponent will switch meaning that I can thunder-wave his counter for my counter. (Yes thunder-wave on a Gyarados who expects it?). And do whatever I do next..

Either way, if you want to keep your current team go for it! But think about the hole's in it, and what would benefit it the most.

    dragonmega: Really?

What about I replace Lopunny with Armaldo?

    X-Scizor
    Stone edge
    Aqua Tail
    Thunder wave

juxta: I see... so it's kind of like playing psychology on your opponent? Such as Gardevoir here? I'd expect the opponent, who has a fighting type, to switch out and bring in their Dark type, only to find that I hit them with a Signal beam, expecting them to switch to a dark type?

And by bulky... you mean they all have something in common to help each other out? I don't really understand what you mean there ^^"

bulky means it's pretty durable, with good defensive and etc,
so it's not like a glass pokemon.

Ah... so that's what Bulky means. Lickilicky and Snorlax comes to mind when I think about that...

I had a Steelix as a bulky, because of her good defenses, but found that she had too many weaknesses. Even after the maxed Special defense EV, she still lost close to over half her HP when up against a Special type user...

So, Armaldo replaces Lopunny might work?

Well, i'm not going to tell you what pokemon to use.. But i do suggest you take a look at this page here *smogon.com link removed*

This show's you the base stat's, etc.

I have checked out this website every now and then. Mostly to see the Pokemon's stats and their uses. But, I should dive more deeper into this... thanks.

No problem, don't hesitate to drop me a message if you have any questions!
