Dis is me, Darkpokeball as I start my new fanfic, Renki: ATPT. It's basically about two young teens who start their pokemon adventure, but have some rather...strange events happen on the way. As the teens press on, they'll have to make difficult decisions, endure hard times, struggle through intense battles, and more. But one thing's for sure: At the end of this, they won't even be close to the same as when they started...

    Renki: A Twisted Pokemon Tale

"RENKI!!" I hear Wazi cry out. The Raikou's enormous blast of blue energy came at me, no chance of dodging it. Gripping a pokeball in my hand, I throw it out into that attack. Sweating, I hope that my pokemon will be okay in this situation....and it was. As expected, the electricity slowly began to slow down...down...until bits of frost started to form around it. You might say you can't freeze pure energy. Well, try telling that to my Delibird. The popsicle fell to the floor and shattered. I was too busy looking at the fragments, I didn't notice it behind me. I heard Wazi scream one more time before a thick "THUMP." I whirled around on my feet and saw a horrid sight. It was hard to accept, but Wazi...was on the hard, gravel floor. A few feet behind her was one of the members of the "Keezon." He was wearing the usual uniform, and grinning ear to ear. In his left hand was a sizzling gun, with a blue strip across the side. An all-too familiar looking gun. I turned back to Wazi, tears nearly blinding me. On the back of her head, was that very similiar faint, blue glow.

"Wazi!" I yelled out. The member pointed the gun straight to the center of my forehead.

"DELIBIRD ATTA---!" I tried saying, but I was cut off before I could finish. I felt a tingling sensation throughout my nerves and fell to my knees. I tried to endure the effects, but it was too much. Before long, I collapsed. ANd everything went....black.

I woke up from yet another nightmare. Again, I was Renki. Who the heck was Renki? And why did the nightmare go the same way over and over...? Who was Wazi? And where were they from? Their names sounded as if they were from a foreign country, but they spoke english. I flipped around on the mattress. My name's Tyler, and I live in Boreni, the LAST place anyone would want to be. It's run by a group of people called the Nozeek, which is like that word from my dreams but spelled backwards. It scared me how I recongized everything, as if I really was that boy. Every dream, so realistic, and every day...as if dream-like. Renki and I are near identical. He has pure snow-white hair and gray eyes on a wise face. Me? Well, coal-black hair, but still gray eyes on a wise face that didn't belong. Wise was the exact opposite of me, as I am kind of a "Do First, Think Later." Multiple times, I've tried to break out of Boreni, but this cell...how can you break out of it? It's pure energetic walls with blue auras floating around them. Touch one, you get vaporized. On the other side of the room is my pokemon, Rattatta. Well, he's kind of my pokemon. His name is Buck due to his huge buck-teeth,and I found him in one of my stews. Of course, why would I eat a live pokemon? So I pretty much adopted him and hid Buck in my cell...having to hide him in case a guard comes by and decides to check. Mealtime is my favorite part of the day because that's when all us prisoners are taken to the dining hall to eat. Though chained by a thick metal link to a rail that we have to walk along, my forced assigned seat isn't that bad. It's next to Will, who I share my dreams with. He listens and doesn't say a word until the end, where he makes a few comments. We often talk about breaking out, but we don't know how. We don't even know how we got here. It seems every kid here woke up with a strange amnesia, not knowing anything about their pasts. We recieved assigned names from those monsters, and I got Vincent. Pff, let these people name me? I don't think so. I renamed myself Tyler, and they don't seem to notice. A name's a name.

It's time to hit the mattress...again. I whisper to Buck that it'll be alright, yet I hardly believe myself. At mealtime tommorow, I plan to release him since he's not attached to any rail or something. He'll get away and be free...free. I force the sorrows out of my head about not being free and seem to not be able to go to bed. Before the night-watch guard comes around with his sleep-stick cudgel for those who have trouble sleeping, I decide to have a much more pleasant way of doing it. I start to sing a lullaby to Buck, and it calms both of us. I love Buck, and don't know what I'd do without him...but I guess I'd have to figure that out later, when I release him. We both start to drift off....

I wake up, my head aching.
"Wazi?" I ask, my voice hoarse. I search for my friend in the shadowy room, not finding her. Then, I hear a bone-chilling voice. It's that of Qui, the leader of the Keezon.

"Looking for your friend, you miserable life-form?!" he spits at me.

"W-What are you trying to do?!" I ask him, scared. Suddenly a memory rushes back at me. I remember seeing Wazi...dead. Well, kinda. Good as dead. When blasted by those guns, it puts you into suspended animation. Then the Keezon take you to their strange camps and use your bodies to host their artificial parasites. The parasite takes over the host, the body. Eventually, it will become yet just another soldier in the Keezon army. They then give the once-free minded host their pokemon back to help them. But until then, the hosts are kept in the camp until the parasite fully takes over. There's no doubt, one in myself. I failed. I failed my region...I've doomed the world to just become a Keezon empire!! There's just no calming myself down, but I try to stall. So I ask the question again: "What are you trying to do?"
Of course I know the answer, but I need to stall enough until...I can escape. I hear they have it so once you enter your cell, there's zero percent chance of escaping. Luckily, I wasn't in a cell yet.

"Isn't that obvious?" asked Qui as he strutted over to me. He then walked my left cheek, the impact making my head move. I hold back tears as he laughs.

"YOU WIMP! NOBODY WILL EVER DEFEAT US!" he roars. Then he walks up to me and grabs me by the hair. He pulls my head close, and whispers fiercely, his drug-stained breath rushing into my nostrils. I try to keep the stench out as he says his message:

    "So why even try...?"

I shudder as I wake up. A terrifying thought strikes me. What if these dreams are trying to tell me something? What if...what if we all have parasites in us and this is where they can take us over? A worse thought overcomes me, "It must be working, since nobody can remember who their true self was..." I whisper quietly. Freaked out, I wonder if that my theory is true, and if so, then...who am I? Perhaps there's a small change when the parasite enters you...such as hair-color change. After all, that's the only difference between Renki and me. What if...Renki's heroic and noble soul is trying to fight back? What if I'm his next form...? I shudder again. I had one heck of a story to tell Will at mealtime...
