I was wondering, on Bulbapedia, they mention STAB, Same Type Attack Bonus. Which we all pretty much know about, but my query is this. Is there a reverse STAB on attacks NOT of the pokemons type? Like Sableye has Faint Attack STAB, Shadow Ball STAB, and Psychic.. Reverse STAB? Do I lose points of the normal amount of dmg Psychic has, because Sableye is Ghost/Dark?

Now the one thing ima point out before I thread this, is the other difference im looking for is ones that the pokemon are weak too being even worse, over the ones that they arent. Like say my Blaziken which has Blaze Kick STAB, Sky Upper Cut STAB, Slash, and Rock Slide. Slash just does normal dmg right? and would Rock Slide lose dmg because its an attack that would do dmg in the "Super Effective" Range?

The attack bonus only applies in a positive way regarding the users types. You'll only get STAB if the Pokémon's types and individual attacks match. You won't get a penalty or a reduction in power just because the attack doesn't match. You'll only do less damage with the attack if it doesn't agree with the opponent's type. So in both situations, you wouldn't get an opposite effect of STAB. o_o

w00t! ty PC Supporter! My answer has finally been answered. I like to keep an attack type for what my pokemon are weak against, so this made this question come up. ^^

    Thank you, Vizforte.
