    Hey guys;
i really havent played any of the games past Ruby/Sapph not even emerald. mainly because i sold my gameboy SP long ago and i regret it. now i play via emulators.

what my question is. is there really a significant difference between Ruby/Sapph and Emerald? should i retire my Ruby Emulator and get an Emerald one?

    There are several differences.

-Ability to capture Kyogre and Groudon
-You can select which Lati you want.
    -Change of storyline
    -Battle frontier
    -Battle tents
    -Ability to rematch Gym Leaders
    -Slight changes to PokeNav
    -Pokemon animations
    -More move tutors

    And some other.

You should get an emerald one, It has a lot of additions and simply, better than Ruby.

What they said. I wish I still had my Emerald, but I either lost it, or traded it. Emerald is still 34$ at Wal-mart!

i need to invest in a new GBA/GBASP and actually get a hard copy of these games D:
but until then i shall amuse myself with EMULATORZ
hmm now to find a working emerald emulator XD

    thanks for the info guyz!

ok so i got Emerald and i made it ot Pedalburg thus far my pokemon are lvl 10-12ish

as i was leaving some dude with sunglasses was all "OMGPOKEMONTRAINER!" said i was a rookie and my clothes werent dirty and ran off. who is this dude? what does he do? D:

You fight both Aqua and Magma in this game now unlike Ruby and Sapphire. For now, you will be fighting Aqua but once you get close to halfway of the game, then you will start fighting Magma.

I am not trying to support pirating but as you guys allready play roms. You should check into flash carts for the GBA. They allow you to transfer roms you know like the ones people work on here in the emulator hacking section onto a gba cartridge, you can get one that will let you store up to 32 roms.

Just please dont use them for evil, play homebrew games and rom hacks.

Emerald is a bit harder but its not so hard you cant possivly beat it.

i cu rrently dont have a GBA/SP or DS thats the only reason why im using a ROM :P
