    Hey all,

I use EZ Flash IV and found out recently about the whole 'Internal battery is dry' problem where EZ Flash IV doesn't have the real time clock necessary for the time based events to occur - so you can still play through the games, just without the events.

My question is, what exactly are these time based events? All I know is that it effects growing berries and the tide. Are these essential? Will I not be able to get somewhere because of it?

I ask because I'd like to play through the game knowing I'm not missing out on too much.

I suppose I could patch the games, but from what I can gather there isn't yet an Emerald patch? Has this changed?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot :)

Berries aren't really essential, if you're just casually playing the game. Other things this affects are Wurmple evolution (I think? I have never understood this one tbqh) and Eevee's evolution into Umbreon/Espeon. It'll go with whatever the clock is on. When you beat the game, you won't have access to swarms or the Lilycove Department Store rooftop sales. But really, you're not missing out on anything that's super essential to the game. It's still playable. If you have any more questions regarding this or something else in the game, please use the Q&A thread stickied at the top of this section.
