Ok, before I explain how stupid I was in such a simple task I would first like to make a little disclaimer: I have no actual experience in hacking ROMs (as the events that I will explain happened when I decided to try hacking) but I have played Pokémon ROMs, both hacked and "base"(XD not sure if I'm using that right), for a few years and I became very interested in the idea of hacking ROMs. Now that that's done, I pretty much got some sort of malware on my first day :/. Now I made sure to look at a guide which I actually found in this section of the forum and this guide was great and provided links to tools that I needed to hack. Fortunately and to my surprise, the tools downloaded without a problem but now came getting the actual Pokémon ROM... *Sigh*. Again, I have downloaded many ROMs on my phone from some pretty sketchy sites without a problem, but this time was not the case. If I recall, I think it was loveroms that caused this when I installed emerald. This was the first Pokémon ROM I have downloaded on my laptop and it failed. Yup...[ well just gonna through this out there in case any of you guys know what it is "PRODUC~1.EXE" and Chromium being installed and opening itself (PRODUC~1.EXE requests permission to run when I try to uninstall Chromium and even after finding another way to remove Chromium other issues came up)]. The issues get much more complex but this isn't a malware removal forum so I won't waste time with the rest. So my question is, what site do you guys advise for safe and secure download of ROMs? (Miss Coolrom;-;)
