3rd Gen Same exact Pokemon?

I just bought Emerald and I think it was a waste of money because there aren't any new Pokemon that weren't in R/S so far. Are there ANY new Pokemon in Emerald? Or should I return it to get FR/GL?

nope, and theres no new pokemon in FG/FR either, in-fact emerald and FG/FR are practically the same.

Actually there's a bunch of new pokes in FR/LG that aren't in R/S/E, but what I'm truly asking is, compared to R/S, are the Pokemon the same?

idk, ive never owned emerald.

Well the only thing different with emerald is that once you beat the game, you can catch smeargle at the artisen cave in the battle frontier, and theres a new area that opens in the safari zone, that has more Johto pokemon, everything else similar.

Well, there's Sudowoodo and the Move Tutor, but that's if your building a good battling team.

Comparably..

Comparably to Ruby and Sapphire, its the same, except for the story is better as you fight Magma AND Aqua, you can get both of the fossil pokemon, you can catch Kyogre AND Groudon, theres more end game stuff. Like Artisan cave, smeargles are awesome for breeding as they are in the ground egg group. Also you can catch Ditto where you get the second fossil.

Also there are some small tweeks, the pokeballs light up when you successfully catch, the text is smaller and less atrocious, more trainers to battle, and then upon completing HoennDex, you can pick from Totodile, Cyndaquil and Chikorita! The Johto starters w000t! The battle frontier is fun also.
