Here is where you can discuss the series' various songs within a singing Pokémon contest in "Same Old Song & Dance."

    My review to come forthwith.

I have seen this episode 5 years ago as well as the previous one.

I like the designs of Birttany in this episode, but mostly, I loved listening to her songs. There should be more songs like those in a lot of the pokemon episodes.

I like this episode - Mezase Pokemon Master plays for about 10 seconds in the dub! Yay! And Takeshi's Paradise and the Team Rocket song. What I find funny about the Team Rocket song is, when they first sang it (in the Song of Jigglypuff) Jessie and James sung quite well but Meowth was hilariously bad. This time, Meowth was quite good and Jessie and James were quite bad. I found that funny. That's the only reason I liked it. Jigglypuff was funny too.

Tugs and Thomas the Tank Engine? omg I remember LOVING those programmes when I was younger! I had some videos of both!

Yeah, I noticed that of the Team Rocket song, too. Sad, as I thought the original version was mega-awesome. On the plus side, the dub finally tackled Takeshi's Paradise, which I had been wondering about for a while. Good thing I brought the first compilation CD (with Pikachu and the Poke Balls, with the Trading game card), or the irony would have been lost on me. Heh. I know the CD's name, but can't recall it right now, for some reason.

Anyway, I, too, am familiar with Thomas the Tank Engine, and the American version with "Shining Time Station." Back to topic! Heh.

Oh, so this was where the Takeshi's Paradise running joke started off? Where he always says it's the only song he knows and the audience always get angry XD I thought it was hilarious when they were booing him

OK, but Thomas the Tank Engine is called "Shining Time Station" in the US!? Whaat. I didn't know that! That...is a really weird name. Sounds like something that would be on Cbeebies...wait, it probably would be anyway but it degrades it even more! XD Do they keep the same names or does someone else narrate or is it completly done over again? Ringo Starr used to narrate in the English version, I can remember that

Pretty much, yep. Compared to the series' other running gags, they didn't do this too much. But then, how many musical episodes can this show do? Heh.

Yep, as I know that, as I'm old. And George Carlin later replaced Ringo Starr. Why he did it, couldn't tell you.
