    .:[Sandstorm Team - Final Tune-ups]:.

I know, I've made a billion threads for this team . . . or maybe just two. I'm just looking for the final tune-ups for my Sandstorm Team. I plan to use it in a lot of battles when my WiFi is back up and running. Can't battle right now, but I just need the little glitches in this team fixed. I'm open to any constructive criticism.

Also needed: I would like the moves with a "/" mark to turn into one move only. I need to decide which one is the best. Thanks in Advance!

    Regirock

    [Regirock] @ Leftovers
    Trait: Clear Body
    Nature: Adamant
    Evs: 252 HP / 172 Defense / 80 Attack
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion / Rest / Curse / Stealth Rock / Rock Polish
    - Explosion / Rest / Curse / Stealth Rock / Rock Polish

Strategy - Regirock can be a tough opponent to beat in Sandstorm teams. Its hard to believe it isn't uber. I will not accept any suggestions that has to do with Regirock being legendary, on this team, it is on an equal level to the others. Regirock's HP is pretty decent but its Defense skyrockets - Making it a tough pokemon to beat. But when put in Sandstorm teams, its already-decent Special Defense gains a beautiful boost. It makes it almost inpenetratable with Enormouse defensive stats. Not to mention that Regirock still has the ability to attack with a nice powered move. Stone Edge is there for the nice little STAB boost bringing it to a 150 base power. Earthquake isn't STABed but it gets a lot of pokemon covered, only resisted by Bronzong and Jirachi. Explosion is there for when it gets low on HP. I'm definitely leaning towards Rest though - since whats a tank without a healing move? Curse is there to really tank up Regirock making it able to resist more attacks and do more damage. Stealth Rock is there to just prepare for switches, since once Sandstorm kicks in, its probably going to force a switch. Rock Polish is dangerous on any good Tanking pokemon since it can outrun a lot more. Also, you might not get a chance on hitting Regirock because it will outrun you and attack you with a massive blow of Stone Edge / Earthquake. And if you are able to get a hit on Regirock in, it won't do any damage. Regirock plays the role of the Tank pokemon on this team. It is pretty much my secret weapon(though its not very secret anymore)

    Tyranitar

    [Tyranitar] @ Choice Band
    Trait: Sand Stream
    Nature: Adamant
    Evs: 252 HP / 172 Attack / 80 Defense
    - Avalanche
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake
    - Crunch / Pursuit

Strategy - Tyranitar is the key to this team. It sets up a Sand Stream - giving huge benefits to Regirock and itself. Avalanche will cover Breloom and other Grass types. Once again, the famous Rock / Ground Attack Combo shows up on Tyranitar, just like on Regirock. Stone Edge is there for STAB boost, as well as Crunch and Pursuit. Pursuit is a move I found tricky to use. It catches a lot of pokemon on switches. Tyranitar supposedly plays the role of a Tank or a Physical Wall on this team. Not much else to say here - its your average CBtar.

    Garchomp

    [Garchomp] @ Life Orb
    Trait: Sand Veil
    Nature: Naive
    EVs: 228 Attack / 28 Special Attack / 252 Speed
    - Earthquake
    - Swords Dance
    - Dragon Claw
    - Fire Blast

Strategy - I'm a rip-off artist, aren't I? I'm using the Garchomp + Tyranitar combo. How does it work? Well, Tyranitar gets Sandstorm up and running, and Garchomp's Sand Veil will make the opponents attacks miss more often. It will hopefully get a free Swords Dance. Earthquake and Dragon Claw are there for STAB purposes. I use Dragon Claw since Outrage will keep you on the field using the same move over and over again, leaving the field open for the opponent to switch into a pokemon that resists Dragon and has a high Defense stat, Skarmory and Steelix, for instance. Also, the physical moves help lure out some physical walls with a dreadfully low Special Defense. Once Skarmory comes out, Garchomp will surprise it with a Fire Blast. Garchomp plays the role of the Physical Sweeper on this team, although some would consider it a mixed sweeper.

    Cradily

    [Cradily] @ Leftovers
    Trait: Suction Cups
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Special Defense / 4 Attack
    - Recover
    - Stockpile
    - Mirror Coat
    - Stone Edge

Strategy - Cradily will serve as probably my only SpecsMence counter - one of the threats to my team. Although, with Stealth Rock set up, it should have no problem. Barrier helps lure out the Special Sweepers on a team. Then, Cradily will strike them with a Mirror Coat. Despite Cradily's average Special Defense, it once again is a rock type which gains the Special Defense boost from Tyranitar's Sandstorm. Recover is for when it gets low on HP, then it can use Mirror Coat more often. Stone Edge is there to also counter SpecsMence. It has a better power than Energy Ball and also gets STAB boost. Cradily will serve as the Special Wall on this team.

    Alakazam

    [Alakazam] @ Choice Specs
    Trait: Synchronize
    Nature: Timid
    Evs: 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
    - Trick
    - Psychic
    - Focus Blast
    - Energy Ball / Shadowball

Strategy - TrickSpecsZam, it can get extremely annoying when it runs into a physical sweeper, or even better - a walling pokemon. It is one of the main reasons I adore Alakazam. Psychic, despite having horrible coverage, is there for STAB and can definitely inflict a lot of damage on unsuspecting foes. Focus Blast wards off Tyranitar and other Dark types fairly easily. I can't decide between Energyball and Shadowball, though I'm leaning towards Energy Ball because I believe it offers more coverage. Alakazam will play the role of the Special Sweeper on this team.

    Skarmory

    [Skarmory] @Leftovers
    Trait: Keen Eye
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Attack
    - Whirlwind
    - Spikes
    - Roost
    - Drill Peck

Strategy - Standard Skarmory. Yes, I know, a third Physical Wall. Skarmory is actually meant to play as a Spiker, since I have no other on this team. This may be arguable, though. Spikes will work in line with Regirock's possible Stealth Rock. And Whirlwinding Skarmory can be threatening when Spikes and Stealth Rock are both layed out. Roost for when it gets low on HP, of course Whirlwinding means Skarmory will be having to take many attacks from the opponent. And we don't want it to faint. Drill Peck won't be used frequently, maybe a finishing move.

    Suggestions?

I have a lot of pokemon with two or more possible moves for one moveslot, I would like to have it narrowed down to one. Any comments and constructive criticism is always appreciated. Well, guys, RMT?

A backup Sandstorm generator would be nice. Once T-tar is out, you'll need to worry about pokes changing the weather (like Kingdra).

    - Stone Edge

stockpile > barrier. every time. It doesn't need all that SDef with 107 basde SDef and a sandstorm boost. and tell me, how are you gonna inflict damage? Because stone edge won't be lasting long...

Strategy - Cradily will serve as probably my only SpecsMence counter - one of the threats to my team. Although, with Stealth Rock set up, it should have no problem. how many walls do you need?

I have a lot of pokemon with two or more possible moves for one moveslot, I would like to have it narrowed down to one. Any comments and constructive criticism is always appreciated. Well, guys, RMT?

Edit in bold...you need more sweeping power though.

I just noticed something. Penguin doesn't play Wi-Fi battles, so he plays Shoddy? ?_?

Huh, forgot about Stockpile. :/ I'll switch it right away.

    Why use Rest though?

btw can anyone tell me anything about which of the 5 moves I should use on Regirock?

Well Penguin, your team is weak to ground and fighting attacks...exposing skarm to those might not be such a good idea.

Rest. It might be one of my favorite moves, but it is teh pwn4ge. Actually, it's because it needs a way to heal.

just a comment, doesnt sand veil fall in the evasion clause category? isnt it banned?

It is evasion, but it isn't banned because it isn't using moves or items to create the evasion.

Its hax but its using a clever way to bypass the hax clause.

EDIT: okay, I added a threat list to my team.

You dont have anything to spin, but none of your pokes are really weak to stealth rock either. And maybe Mirror Coat/Grass Knot on Cradily. And Regirock I would gho Rest and Curse

    Choice Band Heracross.

    Suggestions?

Maybe a back-up Sandstormer? Rain Dance/Sunny Day could knock this team down a notch.
    Minor stuff in quote.

    Jordan.

A minor note, your point was referenced.

if you wanna be REALLY cheap give garchomp bright powder and sand veil will own pplz.

u could even get 2 SD's or more if u want to.

i also wouldnt have more then one choice pokemon if i were you, re-breed t-tar for DD and you should be good.

    Whoops, didn't see that part.
Will get outrun by Alakazam using a Psychic to knock it out of the playing field :/
I was saying if Alakazam used Trick on a Choice Band [anything], Alakazam would be stuck with Trick & a Choice Band + Vulnerability to certain attack the turn Trick is used, Trick again and it may become an advantage to the opposing Pokemon.

    Jordan.

*cough megahorn on the switch cough*

about any attack from CBcross OHKOs Zam, switching into CBcross is a BAD idea.
