Is it possible that you can get a shiny starter in the beggining?

I think so. just save in front of the bag. and if it's not shiny (you gotta get into the battle first to know if it is) then press start+select+A+B to soft-reset. keep doing it until you get a shiny.

Yes, save right before you grab a poke'ball from the bag and then see if its a shiny or not. If not then reset your game and keep on trying. It might take a long time, but you should get one from 1-8000 something chance. You could be lucky, but you may never know when you get a shiny.

Thats a bit of an overestimate.
I can soft reset once ever 30 seconds (As a generalised value), so thats two resets a minute. The odds of seeing a shiny are 1 in 8192, so statistically I'll see once shiny if i SR 8192 times. Assuming twice a minute i will have done it in 4096 minutes, or 68.2 hours. Therfore if he soft-resets for around two hours a day, then statistics say he'll have a shiny in about a month.

Those are just the odds though. It's possible to see one sooner or later than that. It all really depends on luck.

You can get a Shiny starter. You can cheat using Action Replay or Gameshark. Also you can hack it to make it Shiny.

I don't blame you there, I tried to get a shiny starter and gave up after about 30 minutes of trying!! It's just semms tooooo hard!!
