Some of you might remember that Coronis said he converted a japanese save file to an american one that had the manaphy mission on it and he said his name was Manaphy and the region is called Sinnoh. Well before that I had a japanese ranger and a japanese manaphy save (from a site). So I put a finished ranger game with the wmission on there and the game itself works fine but I get no Ranger Net. So I am wondering how did he do this and is it possible to actually "convert" a save. First answer my question but if you need the a american and japanese save file or ranger Ill post them. Im sorry if this isnt related to rom hacking but this place is my best shot for a pokemon game.

The GBA games didn't need any conversion, because of the same filesize and regionfree handhelds.

I'm not that into DS saves yet, but I'd say if they use the same filesize for saving their progress, and if your DS can load the savegame and you can actually play it, then there should ne no conversion required.
The most plausible reason would be, that they changed something in the US release, thus resulting in a not working Ranger Net.
You could try to activate it via a cheating device, like ActionReplay.
