    What do you normally name yourself in the game? I usually try to name myself something different every game, but lately, I've just stuck to the names Silver or James. But...

    Red; COPPER
    Blue; Satoshi
    Yellow; Jackson
    Gold; Xavier
    Silver; TREVOR
    Crystal; Avery
    Ruby; Silver
    Sapphire; idr
    Emerald 1; Ciana
    Emerald 2; idr
    FireRed; Jes

    Usually just Tommy or Timbjr, but if I'm particularly lazy, I just stick with the character's canon name (Red, Gold, Brendan, etc...)
     
    Various stuff Ash, Alex, May (because I used May in Emerald), Myles, etc.. But now days I think I'm going to stick with just Myles.
     
    I tend to name my player character whatever name comes to mind at that moment. Recently, though, I've taken a liking to the name "Michiko", which I'm planning to use when HGSS is released in North America.

    Silver: Gold
    Sapphire: (...My real name, which I'm not about to mention due to lameness)
    Emerald: Alice
    LeafGreen: Kurumi
    Diamond: Michiko
    Pearl: Mai
    Platinum: Michiko
     
    I use my real name. Because, I want to be famous. Not some other person, when I did all the hard work. xD :p Lexx, usually :)
     
    Lisa. It's been my standard character name since Crystal. I forget what name I used before you could play as a female. I believe I used either "Victor" or "Dr. 479" for Colosseum and XD.
     
    Normally I name myself Noah because that's my name! For some reason though in colloseum I named myself clone.
     
    Oh, I forgot Colosseum and XD. For those, it's Oberon and Vincent, respectively.
     
    In RBY I always used my real name. But I later updated the name pools.

    --Calvin (Rival: Hobbes), as in the awesome comic strip by Bill Watterson
    --Boston (Rival: Indy), as in the Pats vs the Colts
    --Shawn, I dunno, I always thought I might pass as a Shawn
    --Saiph (Rival: Rigel), as in two stars from the constellation Orion. I get several pokemon nicknames from astronomy as well.
    --Vishnu (Rival: Jesus), I just really got a kick out of seeing the phrase "JESUS was defeated!" every time I beat him.

    These are funny to look back on, I like how I named my female characters male names.

    Mostly something uncreative, which means
    - a shortification of my real name, which has more than 7 characters
    - one of the default names
    - the name of the version i'm playing
    - something i like to eat
     
    I don't remember what I named myself for Blue or Silver and Gold 'cause it was so long ago, but...

    Leaf Green: Kakeru
    Pearl: Minako
    Diamond: Erick

    In every Single Game . That is just cause that is my real life nick , that comes from my Name , and I'd get deep into Romanian - Pronuntion Rules .
    But in Challenges I name myself stupid : Like : Monday , School , Kicker , Skate or Lamp . Something stupid .... :)
     
    I usually just stick with the same name but sometimes I change it. In diamond, my name was Arc, and for Platinum my name is Reki. I dont remember what my name was on the other pokemon games, but for now ill just stick with the same name.
