Season 1 DVD Boxset

I got it today, it's really nice.
It'll be good to relive the 'classics.'
Is there any word on when further boxes will be released?

Anyhoo, I haven't heard anything about the other seasons releasing in a box set...
But the Orange Island episodes are out on 2 seperate DVDs, same goes for the other seasons (being out on multiple DVDs)...

They may not release on Box sets...I think that was a special thing they did for the first season..
Probably because it didn't have a previous DVD release like the others.

That would be my guess anyway.

Yeah, pretty much... if you can take the time to track down all the seperate DVDs... ^^;
Because season 1 is the only one that comes together in a box set.

I wish they release box sets for Johto.

Wrong, i have box set 2 (Orange islands) currently on its way :D
I got it from ebay so maybe search it there :)

Really? I knew Orange Islands did come packed onto two DVDs, but I had never heard of the Box set.... Thats cool though.

Yup! That would be my thread.

Anyway, I have it but it's in my room. Too tired to get it. VIZ should be making 2-3 more of the season 1 boxed sets cause The one that we have only has episode 1-26 (or was it 1-28?) anyway... Did you pre-order it?

Orange Islands= 3 DVDs, pokemoncenter.com only has the first 2 (xD sorry)

Yeah, I got it too and was wondering the same thing. But like Koriaku said, there should be a couple more.

What gets me with it though is they put 9 episodes on each of these. Why couldn't they do that with all the DVD's?

Season 1 was the best one in my opinion. I watched it when I loved pokemon even more then now. But then the show degenerated and now it is completly different then what it was before. Anyway I really want to get the box set

I compared release dates to other Pokemon box sets and my estimate is that Season 1: Vol 2 would come out this year in around April-August.

Can you get every episode?

You'll have to import it from the US Amazon because you can't buy from the UK one, that's what I did

To tell you the truth, I've been doing research and it's much cheaper if you order from the canadian amazon. Amazon.ca Even if you order from America, it's much cheaper. Plus, you'd have to check the DVD region and make sure your DVD is compatable.

Well, Pokemon was the first Anime series I saw, so, I may want to get the Season 1 boxset and watch all the original episodes someday.
