Shadow Hearts: Dawn of the Land
Side Note: This game takes place ignoring the events of Covenant. You need no prior knowledge of Shadow Hearts to roleplay this. And I apologize ahead of time for this being so long. Most of it is major character info, anyway.
The year is 1913. A man who claims to be Roger Bacon, the master philosopher and alchemist, has been stirring up trouble. He murdered Father Elliot and pursued the priest?s daughter. The girl ran straight into the arms of the Japanese army, who put her on a train to Japan. Roger Bacon found her, and attacked the train with monsters by his side. Many people were killed, but the girl managed to escape, and find herself with a young man. He swore to protect her.
Other strange happenings have occurred. Blue Castle has been invaded by monsters. A house has become full of dolls, and no one ever comes out once they go in.
The problem? Roger Bacon was born in 1214, centuries before. The public seems oblivious to these events. However, you know about it. You feel powerless on your own, yet you are sure there are others like you. You set off to find them. You find, however, that you must hurry. There?s no telling what will happen next. Shadows are dawning across the land and you have to rid the world of them before the land is thrust into darkness.
Major Characters:
These are Non Playable Characters (NPCs) who will be fighting for the same cause. These will be played by Trainer Kat and myself. If anyone wants to roleplay one of these in addition to or in place of your original character, feel free. Just fill out the form as usual.
Yuri Hyuga:
24 years old. Class is Dark.
Born to a Japanese father and a Russian Mother, Yuri Volte Hyuga is the ?rude hero? of the original Shadow Hearts Game. Both of his parents died when he was only ten years old. After his mother?s death, his latent fusion ability awoke and he became a Harmonixer. He hears a voice in his head, giving him orders on where to go and what to do. He loves Alice, is afraid of ghosts, and prone to seasickness.
Alice Elliot:
20 years old. Class is Light.
The daughter of Morris Elliot, Alice became an exorcist at a young age. When she and her father travelled to Rouen, France, to meet a fellow priest, a man who called himself Roger Bacon massacred her father and seemed to desire use of Alice?s powers. Alice fleed, but was later captured by the Japanese Army, also after her powers. She was escorted to Japan via the Trans-Siberian express, where a freak accident occured and she wound up with Yuri. Loves Yuri, but neither have told the other their feelings. Her specialties are exorcism and healing.
Li Zhuzhen:
51 years old. Class is Fire.
A ?Crack Oracle,? as referred to by Yuri, Zhuzhen is talented in Feng Shui and the ways of Ying and Yang. Originally hired by a neighboring villiage to look into the strange happenings occuring in Zhaoyang village, Zhuzen ran into Yuri and Alice, and helped them rid the village of demons. He is a master of Taoist magic.
Margarete Gertrude Zelle:
Unknown age, Class is Water.
Margarete is a world famous spy who uses the code name ?Malkovich.? She meets Yuri and Alice when they walk straight into a bomb alarm she set. She is intrigued by their powers and decides to tag along. She utilizes a handgun and grenades.
Keith Valentine:
400 years old. Class is Earth.
This "Bored Vampire" is the last master from a long line of nobles from Blue Castle. His family ruled over the domain in which the village of Bistritz rests, never harming its people. Though the bloodline died out 300 years ago, the family remains in eternal sleep. He might be a bloodsucking vampire, but he isn't malicious in the least. Daylight, crosses, and garlic do not harm him at all; he is essentially a more resilient and long-lived human. As a near-immortal, very few things surprise him. He likes children and enjoys singing and dancing.

12 years old. Class is Wind.
The young leader of the London Rats, Halley looks out for the other orphans like a protective older brother. In spite of his age, he manages to take care of them all with the help of Old Carl, a friendly and knowledgable man who lives on the outskirts of town.

Abilities: Red Rave-Surrounds enemy with fire and closes in on them. Cure-Heals one ally.

Personality: Rei is hotheaded. It seems impossible for him to control his temper. He also loves ladies and will harass them until they give in, which never happens.
Bio: Rei grew up in Shanghai, China. His parents both were in the army at the time. His mother was killed in combat when he was 10, and his father quit the army to care for Rei. As a result, he and his father became very close. He heard about the priest being murdered, despite living in China, and found something about it fishy. He has sworn to find allies and get to the bottom of the event.
