2nd Gen Shiney Pokemon

    What is the chance that I will find a shiney Pokemon? I've only ever found one in the wild and that was a ratata. My friend has caught 4 shineys without any cheats, is there a way to make the chance greater that you will bump into one?
     
    the chances of running into a shiny pokemon is pritty slim, it is around 1 in 8192. I have three myself, wish i have been ppritty lucky. But there is no way to get them! Only by luck!
