3rd Gen Shinies.

Is there anything distinct you can tell if a Pokemon's shiny?
Other than the difference of color, is there any sort of glittery ring that spins around when it appears?

This belontgs in the simple questions thread so please post there in future, When you look at its stats there should be a gold star near it (Can't remeber where) but if you go to psypokes and serch for the pokemon on the pokedex it shows you a pic of how the pokemon normally looks and how the shiny looks, hope I could be of help.

Yeah, when the Pokémon appears in battle, the screen will flash and a couple of stars will float around for a split second.
