A shiny Pokémon is a different colored Pokémon you encounter in a 1/8192 chance(or something similar to that number. :mudkip;):)

Soft reseting is just reseting the game, without turning the power off, then on.

I'm am so glad that I have checked this thread I am going to use this"soft resetting" to get me the legendary birds in fire red, thanks guys!
