Shiny Pokemon??

    Can anyone give me some tips on catching/getting a shiny pokemon?

    On Diamond, my friend traded me her Shiny Espeon (Lovely green colour!) and I've been breeding it with a Girafarig. We've had about 10 eggs! I hatched them all and they're just Eevees. I was hoping for a shiny one. Can you get a Shiny pokemon in an egg if the parents are Shiny?

    The best way is to chain with the pokeradar. If you look up tips youll be able to get shinys easily once you get good enough. WAYYYY better then breeding for one
     
    Look up chaining with the pokeradar on Youtube there should be a few videos.
     
    If you want to breed a shiny you can use a foreign pokemon, that will make the chances of getting a shiny higher. Then it will be 1/2000....I've worked on it for a little bit. so many growlithes......
     
    As said by others, just use pokeradar to chain pokes.:)

    That's something new for me. I really didn't knew that!
     
    I have watched some videos on Youtube (Ages ago) and I'm still having trouble with the Pokeradar... I get a good chain then suddenly another pokemon breaks it! >.<

    Chaining on the pokeradar should work, and i guess others have already said where to look for that.

    I tried it once, trying to find a shiny Ralts for days......i got a shiny Budew instead......twisted, isn't it?

    I would not swear this, but I believe that it doubles for every Pokemon of the same type that you see after the first one.

    I've done quite a fair bit of shiny research, and I have never ever heard this before. I'm skeptical. Very skeptical. Where did you hear this?

    It is completely legit, if i remember correctly it is called the Masuda method, and it does increase your chances to like 1 in 2000

    Wow, I'm sorry, I feel like I jerk, I read his post wrong :x I thought he said breeding using any traded Pokemon... yes, I have heard of the Masuda method and heard of people finding success.

    In any case, the Masuda method seems legit, as it's on GF's official blog, but I haven't had any success myself.
