    Hello everyone!

I want to hear your opinion about this: what do you use more for competitive play: ShoddyBattle or Wi-Fi? And why? I have not much experience at competitive play, so I want to know which is better, and more fun. I have a poll here too, but I really want to know 'why' to!

I'm no competitive battler, but I've fought some battles on Shoddy some time ago. I don't really know Wifi except from Youtube videos (that were sped up), but since it has that slow speed of DP and requires players to train their Pokemon and not just create their teams and change something if it doesn't fit, I'd say Shoddy is better.

Shoddy is better for real competitive battling (obviously), but I find WiFi more fun.

Shoddy all the way, man. I don't have the time to actually raise my team, let alone work on EVs, IVs, TMs, Egg Moves, etc. Plus you can name your Pokemon whatever without worrying about the 10 letter limit, have it any gender (if it has one), and make it shiny. I can deal without the animation and the satisfaction of raising awesome Pokemon.

But, I do raise a few Pokemon on Platinum for competitive purposes, just in case. I don't have Wi-Fi though, so that's also a factor.

I use Shoddy for competitive battling. The chat room is kinda cool, since the DS's online audio is somewhat... meh, and as SSP said, you don't need to worry about actually raising the Pokémon in question.

However, I'm gunning to at least get somewhere in the Pokémon Video Game World Championships (which I undoubtedly know I can't do right now; my team sucks and I don't strategize well), so after I get a good team in Shoddy that doesn't use any Ubers, I'm going to begin raising them in Platinum or HeartGold when I get it.
