Should Gamefreak release the old gen games to IPhone?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, i couldn't think of another place to put it :P

I was just wondering... wouldnt it be awesome to have the old gens (R/B/YG/S/C) on your itouch/iphone?

With this, i mean Legally, you can get them from jailbreaking, but that takes effort and means if your ipod brakes you cant get it fixed X.X

So im waiting for mine to go out of warrenty :D

What do you think about this idea?

It's a Nintendo franchise. Aside from licensing basic educational-type games for PC (something they don't seem to do anymore), I don't think Nintendo will ever allow the Pokémon series off of their consoles.

...much less on a competing handheld system, where the Pokémon franchise thrives. :( If anything, you're more likely to see the original games get released on either Virtual Console or DSi Ware.

Gonna move this to.. I don't even know. Let's put it in General Gaming for now.

No, they will not, GF is under contract with nintendo, and definitely they wont put there games on apples product, it would be illegal, and GF is not affiliated with apple in any way whatsoever

Yeah, what the above said. That's like them putting a Mario game on the PS3. The only games you will get on an iPod are ones that aren't console exclusive, like Rayman, or basically all Sega games.

Yeah, i agree with the above, but i would really like to see the old games again >.<

If only Nintendo carried on selling the games maybe on their website or in stores.

Its just that its endedup with people selling fake games or people downloading Virtual consoles :\
