i agree, it was a great journey. they should make a REMIX!!
 
I'd rather they let you go to Johto after the new region in the next games.

Yes, it's discussed and rumored many times. I think there's already an active thread about it somewhere else in the forum.
 
Of course there should be a remake! but not for Gameboy. I wish, but the Gameboy is dead!
If there was going to be a remake, it would be on the DS. And I'm pretty sure there will be one soon!! :)

There's no need for one, but damn it I want to be able to play Johto again. D:
 
I don't think there should be a remake. I think a new Pokemon game should be overhauled and this time take advantage of the power of the DS. This new version would not only have Johto, but also Kanto and Hoenn. I guess the DPP region could be added, but that one was pretty lame. Plus, instead of the "elite" 4, each region would have an actual tournament, which is how it should have been done in the first place. Now THAT would be game that I would care enough to spend money on. If the next game that comes out is as lazy as DPP was, no thanks.
 
sorry for being OT, but Game Freak create the game, nintendo (and also the pokemon company) only publish the game..
 
I think Gamefreak should make a Pokemon Jhoto remake because, it will be easier to import second-generation Pokemon onto the fourth-generation games, same reason why Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green were made.
Also, most people agree that the Jhoto reigion had a really interesting storyline, plus being able to go to Kanto aswell was great excitement for Pokemon fans.

But, what I wanna know is, why didn't Gamefreak make a Pokemon Jhoto re-make BEFORE instead of just a Kanto re-make?

New versions set in Johto, no. Remakes of Gold and Silver, yes.
 
I'd like a G/S remake, but I'd rather have it for GBA, then DS.
 
Unfortunately, the Gameboy Advance is dead, sadly.

So, most likely that if a re-make does happen, it'll be for the DS.

Yes, I would love to play in the Jhoto region again!

Because if you suffered through the cartoon, once Ash earned all his badges he was entered into a tournament. Unfortunately at the time, the Game Boy didn't have the processing power in order to accommodate something that complex, so the "elite" 4 concept was used instead. Of course, three generations (and a MUCH more robust processor) later, this predictable and boring format is still beng followed. Not only can the DS handle different regions, but different difficulty levels too.
 
you do realize that the games came out way before the anime did right? the tourny was never meant to be in the games. the anime only had a tournament because of all the people that ash considered a rival couldnt be the champion (it was only green in the games) so this way he could battle more than one of them
 
I wouldn't mind a new Johto game but I'd much rather have a G/S/C remake.
 
Yea it would be awesome if they made a remake!! I would love that sooo much!!!
 
I think a G/S/C remake should be done, in the Johto region. I dunno how you could have a G/S/C remake in another region (like mentioned above).
But, like the R/B/Y remakes, there would be new side quests and other stuff to keep it interesting.
