"Sick Daze" Episode Discussion

I would have liked this episode... IF they didn't completely contradict canon.

I mean, Ash and Misty, as soon as Brock got the common cold, had to fend for themselves for the time being, doing poorly in terms of taking care of themselves involving necessities.

This not only contradicts what happened in the OI (seeing how well they took care of themselves in that saga, and, heck, How Misty was responsible for curing Ash, Tracey, and Jessie at one point [ironically, by cooking something]), it also contradicts the Viridian forest episodes (It was implied from Ash that they were lost in Viridian Forest for 13 days, at least.).

I mean, sure, they COULD try and give an excuse for Brock to stay, but that did NOT mean they should contradict canon and throw it away at a whim just to do it.
 
Aha! I *have* seen this episode! One of the very few mid-Johto episodes I have seen. But it was about 3 years ago on YouTube when I was trying to catch up with episodes. All I rememeber is I print screened a scene with Brock pushing away a meteorite or something...unfortunatly it's on a random CD in my draw and there are tons of CDs and DVDs in there, so I have no idea which it is, heh.
 
I think that I remember this episode, but that well though. I guess I remember Takeshi getting sick but nothing else.

Honestly.. I hadn't ever seen this episode until late 2007.

When Johto originally aired, I lost interest in it.. sooo I still haven't seen quite a few of the episodes, Sick Daze was one of them. However, I watched it on some random video site because I read an episode description on Serebii, I believe. Checked it out after that, and it was an okay episode. I felt bad for Brock, and then I also felt bad for Ash and Misty.. since they were totally screwed without him. xD;

Goes to show how they'd fair if Brock weren't around to help out.. which raises the question of how Ash, Misty, and Tracey survived. >_>;

...as well as how Ash and Misty survived the Viridian Forest arc (Ash implied in "Showdown in Pewter City" that he and Misty had been stuck in Viridian Forest for 13 days.).

I think we can safely say it's one of those 'no-one-can-die-in-the-Pokeymonz-world' ordeals.. xD; Even if they're stuck in a forest, Brockless, with no food, or saftey for 13 days...
