2nd Gen silver glitch?

hello pokemon fans i have a question. on my silver version i have beaten the game and elite 4 numerous times. now i want to start it over, but first i want to trade my good guys over to my gold version. when i went to trade, on the silver version screen it said the the trade machine was currently broken. is This a glitch? or is there something that i have to do in order to fix it? plz answer. o yeah, the battle machine also doesnt work in the same way.

I've never had that problem. Did you finish the game entirely, as in beat Kanto as well as Johto?

Maybe you didn't see Bill back in the 2nd story of the Pok?mon Center in Goldenrod City.

trust me ive played pokemon for a long time. ive gottin walkthrough books. im like an expert. and no i didnt fergit bill. and yes i did beat all of kanto and i beat red in silver cave.

I never had that kinda problem before!Maybe you did not visit bill in the Pokemon center at Eruticke City.
