The Simple Questions thread was closed, so I'll make this one for questions about D/P battles.

    I'll start with a question:

If a Pokémon makes Wish, and you switch Pokémon in the other turn, will the Pokémon you just sent regain health, or do you need to use Baton Pass?

(I ask this because I've seen lots of movesets with Baton Pass and Wish, but with no stat-gaining abilities, so I thought Wish would only work like that.)

I have a question, if a Pokemon one a contest or more in Pokemon RSE will they still be able to compete in the Super contest. I know this doesn't have anything to do with battles but still

I'm not sure, but if the contests are different, probably it won't matter if your Pokés have participated in a R/S/E contest.

I think wish still works even though switch out. Doom desire does it.

Is it true that once we trade to D/P (via Pal Park) we can't ever trade back?

Ive checked Serebii and they werent sure

For the fist question, wish works the turn after you use it, which means if you do switch out, it will work on the pokemon you throw out next....

    ex: Begin Turn #40
    Jirachi used Wish!
    Jirachi made a Wish!
    ---------------------------------
    Steelix used Earthquake!
    (53% damage)
    It's super effective!
    ---------------------------------
    The sandstorm rages.
Jirachi's Leftovers restored its HP a little!
Steelix's Leftovers restored its HP a little!
    End of turn #40
    Rubberbandman's Steelix: 330 HP
    Lexus's Jirachi: 35% HP

    Begin Turn #41
    Lexus withdrew Jirachi!
Lexus sent out Aerodactyl (Lv.100 Aerodactyl)!
    ---------------------------------
    Steelix used Roar!
    Aerodactyl fled from battle!
Forretress (Lv.100 Forretress) was dragged out!
    ---------------------------------
    Jirachi's Wish came true!
    Forretress regained health!
    The sandstorm rages.
Steelix's Leftovers restored its HP a little!
    End of turn #41
    Rubberbandman's Steelix: 352 HP
    Lexus's Forretress: 100% HP

If you gave you pokemon to pal park, I doubt they would let you transfer back because you could have given it an attack that has been only added in D/P or some movesets that are illegal in RSE (i.e Drill Peck Whirlwind Skarmory)

Wish's mechanics have changed slightly in DP. If, for example, the Pokemon coming in on the turn after Wish is used is KO'd, then Wish's healing effects will become wasted. This is due to the fact that Switching is now ordered after healing, so Wish's healing effects come before the new Pokemon is switched in.

The Pal Park is transferring, only. It is not a trade. Once the Pokemon is transferred, it cannot go back.

I thought so, pretty stupid thinking on Nintendo's part.

I'll just trade my unused Regi's from R/S and my other spare per from Emerald to Diamond and Pearl to catch Regigigas.

But can you still trade normaly without Pal Park from Diamond to Pearl?

Yeah, you can either trade through the GTS, or you can trade wirelessly to someone in the room!
