    In Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, why does your partner Pokemon sometimes 'sing'? Music notes appear and float above their head.

    And another question - do the colors mean anything? My Starly has sung black music notes and rainbow ones before.

    Just wondering if anyone knew. ♪

    Those music notes indicate that your partner is in Happy Mode. During this time, your partner's gauge fills up faster.

    Black notes indicate Happy Mode, and Rainbow Notes indicate Very Happy Mode, which fills the gauge up even faster.
     
    Sweet. Is there anything specific that makes them like that?
