Part one: Sinnoh
Moving away from my house in Johto, I was worried what Sinnoh would be like. I mean I had heard stories of a 'Team Galactic' that were apparently more evil than Team Rocket. They used almost the same pokémon as Team Rocket, but they tried to destroy our universe...apparently. Anyway, I have been offered a place in Professor Oak's Pokédex project and offered a starting pokémon so I can catch, train and learn to live with pokémon. I felt honoured that I was chosen out of hundreds to take part in this project. The only problem will be, what pokémon should I choose? Grass type? Fire type? Water type? It will be difficult when I get there...
I see beautiful emerald green fields with bold, brown trees dotting about. Pokémon grazed the area like cows, ponyta playfully chased each other while slaking and slakoth both lie on trees scratching. Then there were some new pokémon that I had never seen before scattered the area...a monkey, much like aipom but with two tails, a turtle, green with some yellow, some weird pokémon, much like beautifly, but they resembled more of a moth...and it was surely male. These strange, new pokémon all stuck together in one area...not mingling with the others, which I had seen before.
"These pokémon are only found in Sinnoh, the monkey-type is named Ambipom, the turtle is called Turtwig and the moth is called Mothim. Turtwig is one of the three starter pokémon I will be offering you, but you can refuse all three of them and go out and catch your own." Professor Oak stated, he was talking to all three of us. Sarah, David and Me. Sarah's father was a professional grass-type trainer and she will probably follow his example, David had a firey personality and probably take the fire-type pokémon. That left me with a choice, the water-type or catching my own. Usually, the water-type pokémon is something related to water which means I will have to stay near water when battling. Soon we reached a sign saying: Welcome to twinleaf town.
There were whole new sights, sounds, pokémon and people here...they all looked so friendly and trusting. In addition, all had these weird accents...Pallet town accents. Do all starting towns have the same accent?
It was a few minutes later before we reached Twinleaf town pokémon lab, there were three people waiting outside the lab...an old looking man with white hair and a white moustache, a young woman with deep, brown, silky hair and a young man who wore a blue cap with ears on it.
"I see the young-ins have gotten here safe." Said the old-looking man, his moustache twitched when he spoke and one of his eyes where lazy. Professor Oak nodded and took the three of us (Sarah, David and me) to a huge room with three pokéballs on a table in the centre of the room. Each of them had a different marker on, the one on the far left had a rain-droplet marker on it, the one in the centre had a fire marker on it and the one to the far right had a leaf marker on it. The old-looking man travelled to the table and beckoned us to come near and pick a pokéball, as I predicted Sarah immediately picked up the leaf one and threw it, out came that pokémon Professor Oak was talking about: Turtwig. Then David picked up the one with the fire marker on it and he threw it to find a monkey with a burning tail.
"David, that one is called Chimchar." Professor Oak educated. Then that left me with the choice to pick or not to pick the water pokémon.
"Errm, would it be okay if I caught my own?" I asked meekly, the old-looking man nodded and took me to this huge field with loads of different species of pokémon in it...mainly Sinnoh pokémon. I travelled around looking for a good one, then I turned around to see the old-looking man hand me five pokéballs, a greatball and a filled pokéball.
"Use this to battle the pokémon you want to catch; it's a Charmeleon." The old-looking man claimed and then he let me head off my own way. I looked around at the many different species of pokémon, then I noticed one which I had seen before; a Scyther. I sent out Charmeleon and the battle began...
