Skarmory

Im no good with strategy and I need a good moveset for Skarmory atm I have so far

Skarmory (mild)

drill Peck (for STAB)
Steel wing (for STAB)
?
?

EVs: HP: 210 Attack:100 Defense:100 Special defence: 100

I could be wrong with the EVs but I think that's right

Well it depends on what kind of role you want your Skarmory to go for. You really shouldnt split up the EVs amongst the stats like that.

Well for the Spiker Skarmory you could go by this:

Skarmory (Impish (+Def, -SAtk)

252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SDef

Drill Peck
Spikes/Stealth Rock
Whirlwind/Roar
Rest/Roost

I was just talking to my friend about Skarmory right now (what a coincidence lol) and his moveset is:

Roar
Toxic
Spikes
Drill Peck

Although I think dropping Toxic and keeping Steel Wing would be better...

Im the friend haffeysucks was talking with and I use my skarmory as a spiker i drop the spikes then roar them out or i use toxic and take em out with drill peck, and i love my skarmory so far

Skarmory is a wall and therefore his role is mainly to be a wall. A recovery move such as Roost or Rest wouldnt hurt. Whirlwind > Roar because you may run into some Pokemon with Soundproof.

I don't see why people need even consider Roar when Skarmory has Whirlwind. I've seen so many post with people putting up Roar insteaad of Whildwind.

Back in the old days of E/R/S, Skarmory could only learn either Whirlwind OR Drill Peck. Most chose to go with Drill Peck/Roar instead of Whirlwind/Aerial Ace... I guess that I, like a few others, never broke that habit. :P
