SL's Fakedex Ξξ Rioré Μυ

Fancy Greek title is fancy. =3 XD

Anyway, SL has gotten back into spriting thanks to the Pixel Project section. >3 I've been scratch spriting since I've 'bout done everything else. With the exception of reposes. But I was never able to get into those. Anyway, here's my fakedex! I'm still working on the next evolution and hopefully it'll be out soon. I tried my best to stick with the Pokémon-style sprites by leaving a lot, but not too much, black outline. C+C is appreciated. Constructive criticism is appreciated even more! =3

And here's my fake region. I created this map in MS Paint all by my lonesome using a DPPt map as a reference. It's called Rioré.

I really like the poses of those fakemon and the concept! It is simple yet it is unique and the shading and lines are flawless. I can tell it is a grass squirrel ^_^
The DPPt map is awesome, I can never get my maps to look professional enough no matter how hard I try. By the way how did you get all the thickness of the lines perfect?

I think you've overdone the non-black outlines. Either that, or the colours are too light to be used as outlines. It gives the impression of a lack of definition around the edges. Also, I think your anatomy needs a little work in places. There are a lot of straight lines on Hayashirisu, for example. Also, your tiny tail-tree things are a different colour on the final evo than on the previous two, but maybe that's deliberate.

Apart from that, I think your shading is good and I love the squirrel Morisu. It's adorable!

I don't particularly like Hayashirisu, falthough I ♥ Icihiteru though. I prefer the siny form of it :3

I redid Hayashirisu. But it's still crappy. =_= Ugh. . Even a different pose didn't make me like it anymore.

Those are great, but why are the names so... not English?

I actually like both of your two pokemon species. I just think Hayashirisu needs a different main color. I feel like its main color is just too green. Perhaps a different shade of green or maybe if you add more colors to it, it would look more alive.

I know you said that your already going to change it, but I just thought I should add that the color seems off. Hopefully that helps! Either way I think you've made a good start. Especially with Morishu, I could see that one being a real pokemon. It kind of looks like Pachirisu to me or maybe thats what you were basing it off of.
