    Welcome, The Quiet One...
    Here is your problem: Open your Visual Boy Advance. Now, here is what you do:

    Options --> Emulator --> Save Type --> Flash 128K

    Since it is the first time opening VBA, you won't need to make it "Flash 128K" anymore after your first time.
