4th Gen Some questions as I'm new to this

Aight, I'm new to this DS emulator thing, and need some help. This is what I've managed to do so far.

Patch SoulSilver with the english patch.
Patch Soulsilver with pokefix
Changed the emulator settings so it won't crash so oftenly
Found out I have to save and close the emulator once in a while to hinder corruption of my savefile.

Now I need some help:
Where is this english patch thread, so I can follow as the patch updates.
How do I get the squirtbottle from that lady next to the gym in Goldenrod City (In gold you just had to beat the gym and then go talk to her)

i think you have to speak to her once and go out of the building than go in and talk tto her again.
