Something that truly bothers me about Pokemon.

    Where do pokemon get their...uhm...accessories?
    Alakazam/Kadabra's spoons.
    Machoke's Pants
    Hypno's hypnotizing pendant thingy
    Hitnomchan's Boxing gloves and outfit.

I can understand that wild pokemon would have these things as they could scavenge them from the trash or something. But when it's hatched from the egg, they have these things.Odd.

    Let me hear your theories.

And yet you fail to bring up the example of a turtle sprouting metal water cannons from its back? :(

Yeah, logic is never good when applied to Pokémon.

Pokemon is a cartoon and most cartoons are either stupid or don't make sense, only rarely there will be one that makes sense

    It is kinda dumb.

But i think a lot of things aren't really real things, but just part of the pokemon that look like accessories. And the rest like hypno, are evolutions, so I guess that kind of solves it.

But the more you think about, it does seem really dumb. And uncreative of the designer(s). As most pokemon are. But people don't care. For some reason.

you dont know what goes on in those pokeballs there might have there own little corner shop where they buy all those things.

Actually robot chicken showed us what goes on in the pokeballs...

Actually, I think that none of the pokemon you mentioned hatch from eggs, so there's plenty of time for them to find the accessories :P

I was thought those kind of things were part of their body.
Like Jynx's dress is her body. Same as Hitmonchan's boxing gloves.
Kadabra's spoon and Hypno's pendant are kind of confusing though. I wouldn't know what to say to those.

    FFFFFF you're right.
Except Hitmonchan back before Tyrogue came out.
But maybe pre-evo's were made to make sense of their evo's accessories.
    Like Smoochum and Tyrogue.

Cubone's helmet and club are supposedly the skull and a bone from its deceased mother.

So why in the name of Arceus does its mother Marowak not die whenever you breed a baby Cubone??

I think there already was a thread like this before. All of the mentioned pokemon are from Generation 1, before breeding happened. They didn't think things through, so they had no explanation for why a baby Kangaskhan has it's own baby, and why Machoke wears pants.

I think that Kadabra and Alakazam's spoons are physical manifestations of their own psychic powers, like Mewtwo's in Pokemon Special, the same could be said for Hypno's pendant.

it's probably after years of evolution that when babies were born, it would be infused with their skin

well you see.... er.... now about that...... no........ heres how it goes
    *turns red
when a male pokemon likes a female pokemon........

lol! just kidding i have no clue whatsoever
in fact i've never really thought about it at all

Well, for starters, stuff like the Eggsecute and Kangaskan can be explained by "Uhhh, we didn't have enough time to put in extra sprites, mkay?", but as for the other things...Perhaps there's a shop somewhere that sells Shorts, Spoons, Dresses, Pendants, boxing suits, kilts, and all that stuff out in the pokémom world that only they know about. It's a mystery, just like where eggs come from.

It's how nature intended. Do not doubt the power of nature, my friend, for you will be eaten by a bear.

Since when does logic apply to Pokemon? Just accept it, my friend. Accept it.

Maybe it's stuff that the people of the pokémon world threw out? Maybe it's like when pokémon come of a certain age they have to go on a quest or something to find these items before they become adults.

I dunno, just a random thought.

    You should ask yourself this....
Would YOU want to see a Machoke without pants on....
Sometimes, it is best not to ask questions.
