Now I don't to sound as if I complain alot, but when you click a link to a post you've made, why does it make two of the same thing in the address bar?

Like if I go to this post I made, it shows my post. But the software doesn't need to append #post5017937 to the end of the address since this does the very same thing.

    What gives?

It does that for browsers that don't support JavaScript. In browsers with it disabled (or don't support it), the second link wouldn't take them to the post. The forum has a lot of features that require JavaScript, so there has to be a way for those without it to use the forum properly.

Yes, but some people actually do have safari. And why does it even matter in the first place?

But there isn't a browser that don't support Java, 'cept Safari :D

I'm using Firefox. Which does support Java. Has done for a while.
JavaScript is NOT Java. Also, some people choose to disable JavaScript. I have an add-on called NoScript that disabled it. You have to manually allow each site to use it. I have it enabled for PC, but that doesn't mean everyone does. Besides, not everyone uses a well-known browser. Some of the others may not support it. You can't rely on everyone having the most up-to-date software.

Edit: Also, Safari does support it. Not sure where you got that from.

I use Safari. Just throwin' it out there.
