Speculation on Chimchar

Ash's Chimchar was caught soon after Paul released it, correct?

I'm starting to speculate.

Chimchar is terribly afraid of Zangoose, so by the time of the Pokemon League, do you think Paul will catch a Zangoose? You saw the episode, correct?

What do you think about this?

That would imply Paul cares enough about Ash to try to psych him out like that. So far, he has complete and total apathy toward the Pallet Town Trainer, but that could change.

As for Paul pulling that, he seems to be honorable as to not pull such a trick, but you never know. Besides, it could backfire in oh, so many ways.

Remember in one of the upcoming Ep's Chimchar conques it fear over Zangoose but just by watching the Tag Battle Ep's I realize how strong Paul is Ash is going to have a hard time.

I think the apathy has turned into despise and contempt.

So, it depends on if Chimchar evolves, really. If Paul notices that Chimchar's evolved, I doubt he'll try that or else get a Close Combat to the face ;).

Well, after seeing the Tag Team three-parter, I'd say that's definitely swinging to the negative. Heh. I think he'd just kick them while they're down -- that's Paul's style.
