    POKEMON SPEED RUN CHALLENGE

    Introduction
    While I'm not the person to have originally thought of doing this challenge, I searched and noticed that it didn't exist so therefore I figured I'd maintain one.
    This challenge is pretty much as simple as it gets. Complete any given game in the best time possible. Hence why it's called a Speed-Run.

    Rules:
    *No hacking or editing the game timer to beat other times. (Challenges are meant to be fun and there's no fun to be had if your cheating the challenge.)
    *No hacking/trading any stupidly high leveled Pokemon. (I don't mind if you hack/trade in Pokemon but, to stay fair to the challenge, make sure they're the same level or lower than the highest leveled Pokemon in your party. A lvl 100 team makes things way too easy!)

    *NOTE* That's all the rules for now but I may add more as/when they're needed. I'm keeping it basic for now though.

    Important Notes
    *Be sure to sign up and state which game you'll be playing through so I can add your name to the relevant section. If you wish to add more info to your post such as; what Pokemon you used, whether you did a solo run or not etc. etc. then feel free. It's always good to get the back story behind someone's posts :)

    *It doesn't matter if you play an official game or a hack game, I'll still add it to the OP. All official games will have their own sections and the hacks section will be separate.

    *This isn't a competition with other members. So, it doesn't matter if you speed through the game on a solo run OR trained a full party still with a good time. This way you can challenge your own time with different teams to see what does better.

    *This challenge ends when you have completed the storyline part of your game of choice. As this varies between some games, below is the official "end" of each game:
    R/B/G/Y/FR/LG: Blue (Your Rival)
    G/S/C/HG/SS: Red (At Mt Silver)
    R/S: Steven
    E: Wallace
    D/P/Pt: Cynthia
    B/W: Alder
    B2/W2: Iris

    I'm gonna recommend that you open up sign ups. That will help you keep up with who's playing what. You don't have to, you can keep it like it is now, but I don't think you'll want people posting in here with play times from playthroughs from years ago or something. When people do challenges in this forum, we do them fresh, not predone.

    I approved this for now, but for it to stay up, you'll need to participate again. As this is right now, it's set up like a record hall of some sort. Challenges here need to have an active challenger as the OP, not someone that's previously done the challenge. So if you don't sign up with another game to speed through, I'll have to close this as challenges must have their OP also playing the challenge, not have it already beaten.

    Good point about the sign ups. I'd overlooked the fact of people posting screenshots from previous runs. I'll edit the OP with that ASAP.

    Regarding signing up myself, that's what I planned on doing as soon as this became live.

    Here's the screenshot of the time I've already added to the OP. It was a solo run with Venusaur on Fire Red hence why it was so easy to get a pretty good total time for that run.

    I doubt it'll be anywhere near that for Emerald though which is what I'll sign up for.

    NB: The trainer blocking the doorway is my second-favourite trainer, but I won't be talking to them, or revealing their identity yet. I will be talking to them in the next update, and revealing their identity the next time I run into them.

    -Shirayuki learned Bite
    -Received the Mystery Egg
    -Obtained the Pokedex
    -Registered Prof. Oak in the PG

    -Was challenged by Passerby Boy
    -Passerby Boy sent out Totodile (M, Lv.5)
    -Two Bite attacks defeated Totodile
    -Passerby Boy was defeated

    -Learned Passerby Boy's name
    NB: I'm not going to reveal his name until I battle him next.
    -Gave the Mystery Egg to Prof. Elm
    -Received 15 Poke Balls from Lyra
    -Caught Ralts (F, Lv.5)
    NB: I meant to give Ralts a nickname, but I pressed the wrong button. So, when I get to Goldenrod City, the first thing I will be doing is rectifying this situation.
    -Obtained the Vs. Recorder
    -Arrived in Violet City
    -Received the EXP. Share from a weird guy in the Pokemon Centre
    -Ralts learned Confusion
    -Tobiume learned Quick Attack
    -Ralts learned Double Team
    -Ralts learned Teleport
    -Tobiume evolved into Quilava
    -Defeated Elder Li
    -Ralts learned Extrasensory

    Went back to the lab and got the Pokedex.
    Helped Wally catch his Ralts and made my way to Petalburg Woods.
    Entered Petalburg Woods with Mudkip at lvl 12 - 0:30
    Caught lvl 4 Poochyena as a HM slave.
    Entered Rustboro City with Mudkip at lvl 15 - 0:46
    Beat Gym #1 Roxanne with lvl 17 Marshtomp - 0:52
    Caught lvl 7 Nincada as a HM slave
    Travelled to Desford and beat Gym #2 Brawly with lvl 22 Marshtomp - 1:28
    Got to Slateport City with Marshtomp at lvl 25 - 1:46
    Done the first level of Trick House. Beat May and next 2 guys, on path under Cycling Road, with Marshtomp at lvl 29 - 2:19

    Cleared Team Aqua from Mt. Chimney and entered Magma Hideout at Jagged Pass - 7:23
    Beat Magma Leader Maxie and left the Hideout - 7:48
    Beat May outside Lilycove Mart with Marshtomp at lvl 64 - 7:58
    Made my way through Aqua's Lilycove Hideout.
    Beat Gym #7 Tate & Liza with Swampert at lvl 67 - 8:43
    Cleared Team Magma from Mossdep City

    Can't believe I actually managed to complete this quicker than I did with Fire Red :o

    Current time 1:52 (the reason there's so much of a difference between the last time and this time is because I've been searching for a certain Pokemon that has a 5% chance of appearing, however it only has a 2.5% chance of appearing in the gender I want it in. I already ran into it when it was the same gender, however it managed to defeat all three of my Pokemon.)
