Well I wanted to start playing now, and what starter is best? I know Cindaquil is good because its fast in speed and does major damage, I know Chikorita is good for a challenge, and Totodile has good defence, and does alot of make there Wifi team all legendaries or most, cuz I want to do that.

What starter did you choose? And why, saying that its your favorite type won't help.

Well this is a sorta silly question your asking. It really just depends on who you are and what your personal preference is. They in fact all have the same base stats, it just depends if you care about Attack, Defense, or Speed. Chikorita has an excellent Defense, but it is weaker during the first 2 Gyms considering their is a type disadvantage. Cyndaquil is good with Attack and most likely speed too if yours is a Timid nature. And Totodile is a fast lean creature.

It really just depends on your personal preference. I wouldn't suggest asking this again, mainly because it is a choice we all have to make in the games, in the end it doesn't matter what other people think, it depends on what you think.

If you want more information on the similarity and differences between the starters go to Bulbapedia. Again, it entirely depends on your personal preference.

Now as to answer your question on what I chose, I picked Totodile, simply because I love the way it looks, and the fact that it does pretty well for the first 2 Gyms. I'd always picked Cyndaquil in the past but I wanted to change it up a bit. Also it is hard to get Water types in the beginning of the game.

    I hope my advice helped.

    With all regards,

Just pick your favorite. :) When it comes to wifi battles outside the game, I think Meganium is the weakest, but it can do very well if you know how to use it.

I picked Totodile even though Cyndaquil is my favorite. I wanted an Arcanine on my team, so I picked the Water starter so I wouldn't have 2 fire types. :P

Also, you can make a team of legendaries if you want.. but it sort of annoys people if you don't tell them about it beforehand. Legendaries vs. regular Pokemon is sometimes unfair.

Hmm helped alot, still I am now deciding by stats now.

Totodile is the strongest if you're going for who is the best for battles.

Ahh ok, but like once I get 1 starter, I can't get the other later right?

Nope, but a lot of people trade all the starters. Check the trading section of this forum :)

I chose Cindaquil because it looks cool and because Jimmy/Gold had it.

    Good choice. Have fun!

Well, that being said just going to lock now.
