Am currently starting a 'fun' Pearl game, meaning I'll be hacking some Pokemon so I can have my lineup early on. What's a cool fun, but not underpowered team to try? I'm not too conservative on some exotic ideas, but I'm not looking for bizarre teams either. So far I've this team:
Lucario (shiny) - my signature Pokemon, nicknamed Sirius (of course he'll be starting off as Riolu :D)
Empoleon - the starter I've decided to get
Arcanine - for my fire type, since with a dongle, you can get Growlithe really early on, but I'm open to other suggestions :)
I've thought of Garchomp, Milotic and Roserade for the other slots, but it's pissing me off that Cynthia has most of my ideas for my team I don't want a matchup at the end of the game where we'll be having the same 3 or 4 Pokemon =P Also, I've been thinking of a Pikachu for my electric type, and instead of Roserade for my Grass type, a Leafeon to avoid the Cynthia thing.
Mostly, I'm looking for type variation without compensating power too much :D
I understand this isn't for competitive play, just for good 'ol in-game pleasure, but that's why I came to ask here instead of GameFAQs :D Thanks!
