hello, i'm new here, but i wasn't sure if this fit in the category of simple question. i can't seem to figure out how manual stat raising works. i was able to put 4-5 proteins on my blaziken, but only 1 on my gyarados. does anyone know how this works? a link or a clear explaination possibly? not only with proteins, but with the other ones as well, zinc, carbos, etc.

    thanks a bunch.

Ok, this is really confusing! It is all about EV's. Each stat has 255 EV's. for every 4 Ev's a stat goes up by +1. For Example; if your blaziken battled with 4 tangles then the defence stat would go up by 1. this site will explain it!

Hope it helps, if you need anymore help with it, just ask me!

Thanks a lot on the info guys! I've learned many things reading through this. But I was wondering if I can get further confirmation from anyone here. First, I know that equipping the macho bracer helps a lot with EV training, but I don't need to keep on it once I'm done right? Sorry, might of been a dumb question, but I just had to know. Second, does fresh EV training work only with "baby" pokemon? For example, should I be saving up my berries that bring down EVs such as Hondews and Pomegs on a Rayquaza or +50 final stage evolved wild pokemon? Or do they come with 0 EVs? Thanks a bunch guys.

No, the MachoBrace is useless on Pokemon that have gained all 510 EVs that they need.

Any Pokemon that has not gained experience by battling another Pokemon will start with 0 EVs. That means all wild Pokemon that you catch will have 0 EVs, even if they are at Lv. 99 when you catch them.

If a pokemon reached it's max level (lvl 100), is it still can raise it's stats ? by giving them vitamins or by beating enemies or another way? And how many EV's we get from vitamins like protein, calcium etc.

Well, I feel the question has been answered very well.
