Status nerf

With the introduction of the SM meta a few months ago, status moves in general took a pretty big nerf. Burn now does less damage per turn, Paralysis now only halves speed instead of reducing it to 25%(also note that Thunder Wave has reduced accuracy), and confusion now only hits 33% of the time.

What do you think the nerf of status has done to certain play styles such as stall? Do you think it's further handicapped that play style? Do you think the status nerfs were good for the meta?

Well I don't think it will affect stall that much.Tbh burn damage was never a big priority. The attack reduction is the priority and that ain't been changed.
As for para nerf, the only problem I see is dd users. Cause after 2 dd's they get to original speed and with further they can boost as normal.
Tbh in my view the bigger threat to status is the tapus due to their summoning of terrains on switchin.

I think stall is alive and well with the number of viable mons that fit into stall teams. Things like Suicune, Toxapex and Pyukumuku have ensured that with the right team support they can stall out some of the biggest offensive threats in the game. And cores built around some combination of Clefable, Chansey, Skarmory, Sableye and/or Ferrothorn, plus Dugtrio, provide OU with a particularly vile form of stall. I agree that HO and BO are likely the most viable playstyles right now. But as more offensive treats look likely to be suspected and banned, it's only a matter of time before stall gets its chance.
