Strange peel off sticker on DS Pokemon Platinum Version - anyone can help?

Hi there,
I´ve bought this Nintendo DS Pokemon Platinum version (CIB) and noticed there is kind of a peel off sticker in the front case and I could not find anything similar browsing around (see photo attached). Is there anyone who have already seen that or knows what is this actually (whether this is official or just a sticker someone else put on)? It is still intact and it has a number on it!

It looks like a sticker you put on paper lunches to prevent them from unwrapping themselves; it's not official and was probably put on by the store you bought it from, the number on it may be a serial code so the store could track their copies; but it's too blurry to make anything out.
