now, correct me if i'm wrong, but the Animation for HM4 Strength is a big rock, getting thrown on the foe, now why isn't strength a rock-type move, if this is it's animation

Because, it shows the strenght of the person, picking up and throwing the rock. Although incredibly weak pokemon can learn it... go figure.

Yeah, but throwing a rock, and it landing on the foe, that sounds like a rock-type attack

That's why they have rock throw. Strength is better off as a fighting move, since fighting moves are cool.

yeah, i know, but the animation of it makes it look like a rock-type move

That's why they corrected their mistakes in R/S. In DP, the animation is just plain weird... The pokemon kinda just shrinks, then does some kind of punch move or something.

yeah, i know, the one in R/S/E is much better
