    What is your favourite Shaft anime of all time?

    No, the group owner does not have an obsession with loli vampires.

    eek.
    if only it was for the fact theres so much Shinobu in there.
    I WILL JOIN THIS CLUBNESS.

    my favourite SHAFT anime of all time would be.. Bakemonogatari <3.
    tho im still waiting for Kizumonogatari... but i dont think thatll take first place.
    cause theres no Senjougahara in there.

    Ahem...
    I'd like to join please.

    Haven't really watched many shaft anime. I've finished Bakemonogatari and Ef - a tale of memories; currently watching SZS and ef - a tale of melodies.
    So ...umm, yeah. Bakemonogatari is my favorite Shaft anime. <333
    cause theres no Senjougahara in there.
    I honestly thought there wasn't much Senjougahara in Bakemonogatari. ;___;
    Hopefully, Shinobu will fill in that gap. :D

    Oh wow, Shaft. I just happened to finish one of their works today :3

    Speaking of which, these aren't on your list >:U
    The only good anime adaptations of Negima.
    NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH NEGIMA!?, they are completely different series.

    Now that's settled, I gotta say I love their artistic way of portraying stories and sound, it feels abstract, and you can easily recognize their work.
    What I don't like though, is the way they seem to love giving everything unrealistic shadows in terms of contrast and colouring, and how they can make some battle scenes fantastic, but others not good at all, but repetitive and boring....... Combined with said shadowing.

    Oh well.
    Some of their anime is great, I'll join.

    Oh good, members. I thought the group was gonna die before it really started ^^

    Bakemonogatari is easily one of my favourite anime from any company, I agree Kizumonogatari won't have any Senjougahara awesomeness but i have a feeling adult Shinobu will make for that.

    After Bakemonogatari it's a shootout between the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Natsu no Arashi! series. Thinking a little more Zetsubou Sensei is one of the best comedy anime on the market.

    About their style, When i saw it first with Zetsubou Sensei i was pretty sure it wouldn't worj with any other genre but i was wrong. It works with anything, Slice of life(hidimori Sketch) Comedy (Zetsubou Sensei, Under The Bridge) and even Magical Girl (Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica). It probably has something to do with excellent music selection and sfx as well.

    *Goes to add names to list and add missing anime*

    honestly i haven't watched many SHAFT anime at all either..
    just Bakemonogatari and Dance in the Vampire Bund, and a bit of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, although.. i soon turned to reading the manga of the last one instead.. XD;
    and i tried my hardest to finish He Is My Master! too. made it to episode 8! but it was so.. brainless that i quit it afterall. :/
    in the end, i haven't finished SZS yet, though. but i liked it, so i think i'll start over and watch all of it now.
    but first i've to finish NHK ni Youkoso!..

    so yeah.
    Bakemonogatari's still my fave. i loved Senjou, so i'm not sure even Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade will be able to take her place XD;.
    still im looking forward to iiit!

    Sorry to be such a pain in the butt about the list, but the series Mahou Sensei Negima recently added to the lust wasn't animated by Shaft as far as I know, only the OVAs I mentioned, and the Negima!? series that you had already listed x|

    I haven't made it very far in Bakemonogatari yet, but I'll make sure to finish it. It looks really good.

    You're right ^^....I actually have quite a lot of OVA's to add to the list, I'll get them added eventually.

    You should definitely finish the series, it's probably Shaft's best work, well I think so anyway.

    Not really, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World was very good and REC was amusing. I'll admit I do enjoy Shinbou's work more than other directors though.

    /finished NHK ni Youkoso yesterday, now onward to SZS again!

    oh! i didn't even know REC was by SHAFT too.. i've to say i loved REC too! XD;
    i don't know much about directors tho.. maybe i should pay some more attention to it ~
