2nd Gen Sudowoodo in Crystal Version

Try paralyzing it or putting it to sleep after you've taken it's health into red.
 
use a water type attack around the sam level maybe twice then use great ball or the highest standard ball ya got
 
Or you could use weak fighting moves to get it's health down, and I'd put it to sleep.
