Sun and moon rating (no spoilers please...)

It's 7.8 too much island.

I would give it about 8.5-9 out of 10. I think it is really good, and really liked how they went about changing the way all of the other games were set. There were too many unnecessary cutscenes, and it could be a bit difficult at times

Im in the level 20 area of the game. I love the improvements of the core mechanics. Catching pokemon and checking their stats and nature and choosing to pc it or swap it for a pokemon in your party is amazing. Basically, this game is much less tedious than previous gens in some ways. So far the characters and story don't impress me. I think think this game is my overall favorite. I feel like this game could use more in game guides or at least a users manual. I am relieved that i dont have to deal with HMs anymore. Just obtaining them and walking around looking for the person who gives them away got old fast in old gens.. I would definately say this somethink like an 8/10. IF you can ride any pokemon with pokemon ride(dont think so) I would bump that score up a to 10. Its a lot fun. Also the music is not my preference in style, but the music is great quality. Its just....too islandish?...for my tastes. Im not sure that this will remain how i feel at the end of the game though. Sorry for the text wall.

TL:DR 8/10. Im not far though, so may change my mind later.

The quality of live improvements have me at 9/10. Really, being able to choose where a captured pokemon goes immediately is nice. Also the ride pager instead of needing pokemon to use specific HMs. I'm loving it. Well, ok not all of it.... the SOS calling for help grinds my gears at times.

I would say 9/10 as well. There's a lot of QoL improvements that I appreciate very much, and they don't seem out of place. The scenery/atmosphere is gorgeous. I also really enjoy the steeper difficulty, though if you don't plan ahead, there might be some really tough battles.

The only thing I dislike so far (I haven't finished the game yet) was how long the tutorial was. I really wish there was a "yes, I've played every other pkmn game!" option.

Besides from the massive cut scenes, and the low rate for new rate pokemon appearing, I'm really satisfied with the story and the overall of the new game.

Solid 9/10
