    Sunkern, Sunflora, Chinchou, and Lanturn.

    {Renders attached, no inline images until 15 posts.}

These are the first pokémon cards I have rendered, so advice/criticism?

I am an old-school player, so I chose the base set blanks deliberately, I prefer them to the overly-complex recent ones that make it much harder to align texts and stuff.

I know the names aren't inventive, and sunny day might be a little dodgy rules-wise, but I wanted to show off the typical combination of attacks in a meaningful way.

(website credit in art of Sunflora is by request of website, if you know what I mean)

i really don't see the point of that Sunflora's combo.
Sunny day shouldn't be an attack. but you said it also.

if Sunflora can attack only if active, why not just put Solarbeam with 70 base damage (although, that would be overpowered)?

    I dunno. It's confusing.
Maybe to change Sunny Day into: Solarbeam base damage is 70 now. (this effects stops if you retreat Sunflora or is affected by a Special Condition.)- sth like that.
or- just simply, change it into pokepower.

but, if you like it this way, then it's your call.
otherwise, it's ok. it seems all in place.

WOW! Awesome just what I wanted to see. Some newbs with talent XD
Those cards are just perfect! i may say the font of the attack effects, Evolves from Sunkern, Place Sunflora yadda yadda and text flavour could be a different font. What is it that the font you are using?

All Gill sans and Gill sans condensed except for the hp.

To explain the Sunny Day attack, for those that don't understand it, it functions much like Jungle Scyther's Sword's Dance, except you only need to do it once. So, you must sacrifice one attack to get boosted attacks later. I think in retrospect 60 would be a more balanced boosted damage.

    More cards coming soon.

Make it a Power and a coin toss:

Poké-Power: Sunny Day: Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, as long as Sunflora remains your Active Pokémon, Solarbeam's base damage is 70 instead of 40. This Power stops working if Sunflora is affected by a Special Condition, or if Sunflora stops being an Active Pokémon."

Making it a power would make it too powerful, the point is that you give up an attack to use it.

Anyway, new cards attached, Chinchou and Lanturn. I need to perhaps start thinking of a name/symbol for a custom set.

Anyway, what do you think of these 2?

I think Chinchou needs 10-20 more HP (the only Pokemon with 30 HP that comes to mind is Magikarp), but otherwise they're pretty good, albeit a bit overpowered.

...But doesn't the resistance symbol need a -30 next to it??

Yeah, but I never understood that. SI there any card that has resistance -{anything else}? It is just unnecessary trouble.

Many other older ones have 30 HP, for instance Porygon or Lt. Surge's Magnemite. I guess with the increasing power levels in the game, it's less common nowadays. The last det I played with was in the era when 120 was (rightly so) the highest possible HP.

Card no. 5 attached, Sneasel. Feel free to comment on any of the cards.
