Super Antoshio Bros. (a webcomic)

[Antoshi]

"Super Antoshio Bros." is a webcomic from the not-so-genius mind of Antoshi. It follows a storyline that mostly resembles the original Super Mario Bros., with the exception of some changes and has lots of awkward moments. The characters are "played" by random people I know from the internets. I don't expect anybody to be familiar with their names, but I wanted to keep their names up for posterity. :P

"Super Antoshio Bros." is made with a strange combination of Paint and Photoshop. If you think that's strange, take a look at the the comic itself. :D

Characters

Main

Mario (Played by Antoshi) - The "leader" of the group, though his silliness and incompetence seem to make it hard to believe. (Super Special Ability: Super act stupidly)

Luigi (Played by Pandasu) - Antoshio's "brother", though they look nothing alike. Yes, he is a panda. He's mostly there to eat bamboo and have fun. Should Antoshio ever get on his bad side... dun dun dunnnn! (Super Special Ability: Uses bamboo as a weapon)

Yoshi (Played by Dinosaur/kirby54321) - A hungry, hungry dinosaur that was never in the original Super Mario Bros. game, he is here now. Yoshi has a unique ability to constantly change colors every time he is seen. Is he a chameleon? Maybe a magical chameleon? Nobody knows. (Super Special Ability: Changes skin colors in every frame he is in)

Kirby (Played by KirbyM) - Not the "actual" Kirby, and is never seen because nobody ever bothered to draw his character. Instead, he's there, but... you can't see him. He's there, though. (Super Special Ability: Super awesome invisibility)

Princess (Played by Kafro) - The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. The Princess does not seem to be thrilled to do anything, or even be there, mostly because of it being Kafro, a very sarcastic individual. Some of the cast does not seem to be aware of the Princess's gender, while it's obvious to the others. (Super Special Ability: Super sarcasm)

Bowser (Played by Michael) - The evil leader of the Koopa Tribe, Bowser loves to kidnap princesses and breathe fire. He also has a foolish, child-like demeanor, similar to Antoshio, which makes for the perfect battle between good and bad fools. He also has a red cape, because capes are fashionable. (Super Special Ability: Stuff)

Minor

Toad (Played by i8myshirt) - While there are 98237253 Toad's in the world, this one stands out. Why? He ate his shirt. Half of it anyway, he's saving the other half for next week.

Boo/"Boogee" (Played by Congee) - A cow-spotted female Boo, though Boo's were never in the original Super Mario Bros. Why Boogee is here is unknown.

Hammer Brother #1 (Played by Scipex) - One of the two Hammer Brothers, the leader brother wears a brown jacket, and has a magical top hat. What kind of magic could be in said top hat? UNKNOWN.

Hammer Brother #2 (Played by Li) - The second of the two Hammer Brothers, this one has spiky red hair and sunglasses to make himself look cool, and wants to be the more important of the two brothers. He also has a super-special hammer made of gold and diamond.

Lakitu (Played by crazybel) - A strange Lakitu, its cloud has crazy multi-color spots on it with a weird face. Is it a custom paint job? UNKNOWN. He also has sunglasses, because sunglasses never go out of style, and they permanently label you as "cool."

Spiny (Played by Matto) - This special Spiny is black. Is he African-American? UNKNOWN. But he does team up with Lakitu occasionally to be the spiky "poop" that drops onto the heroes' heads.

Blooper (Played by Chris) - Bloopers are squids that live underwater. This Blooper however takes exception to the rules, and has an object on his head. What object? It changes everytime he is seen. It could be a shoe, maybe a glove, maybe even sunglasses!

Goomba (Played by Trax) - This super-crazy Goomba has a monocle and a CRAAAZY top hat. CRAZY!

Paratroopa (Played by PyroticWater) - A special Paratroopa, he has a blue shell with a matching blue, fiery aura. He may very well be invincible... or is he?

Koopa Troopa (Played by LuckySlev7n) - This Koopa Troopa is so soopa. He is a maid, with his own vacuum. He cleans things.

1-Up Mushroom/Mishroom (Played by mish) - The mushroom that uses supar magic to give an extra life. She smiles a lot.

Honestly, your comic looks like it was drawn by a palsied eight-year-old with ADHD and seems to be aimed at an audience equally as esoteric. The world wide web just might not be the right place for this sort of thing. Your friends might get a giggle out of it, but doesn't say anything about the rest of us.

OK.The character profiles are nice and the pictures are somewhat fun. But after reading the profiles, I clicked the promotional image and episode one. You know what? After the promotional image loaded and I viewed it, I closed the episode 1 window D: And is it a comic-lization of a RP?

Allstories, I've had reports about your post so clearly some members are offended by it. Even if you don't like the art in question, there's no need to use that sort of language - it's very close to flaming and doesn't offer the artist any way to improve. Whenever you crit, make sure it's constructive, and not insulting to the member themselves.

I know you're an experienced member so please follow the rules.

The drawing isn't supposed to be labeled as "good." I know it's not, but it's just its own 'style.' But if that's your opinion, that's just fine, too.

your comics are ok.. but it doesnt realy look like you got a storyline youre following.. it looks like youre makeing it up as you go.. wich isnt too good.

also, that invisible kirby is lame.

but keep makeing em and try to improve yourself:)

You shouldn't expect much in terms of storyline, it wasn't supposed to have one aside from what Mario games usually have in terms of plot -- Go save the Princess, and anything that happens along the way, happens.

I've read the latest comic strip, I laughed. XD

Your comics are okay, but there is room for improvement. I understand what you're going through, drawing comic strips are very time consuming and most of the time a boring process. Just keep on going and you'll one day see your improvements, no doubt.

By the way, both comics link to the same comic. I assume both comics are not suppose to be the same.

Oh I didn't notice the links were the same. Fixed, then. As for improvement, I really only intend to become more comfortable in how I draw the characters and such, but I want to keep drawing the same way regardless.

To the person who reported the double posting - art bumping is okay as long as there IS new art to show, it hasn't been over a month, and the thread has slipped off the front page. It's one of the exceptions to the rules.

As to the comic...

Nice expressions, I like the Yoshi licking up the Goomba XD The clouds are also funny. You have some good ideas here - try and add a bit more detail/shading though ^_^ This will make them even better!

well, this gets my #1 drawing comic.

I like how it's played by different people, like Luigi played by a panda member and yoshi changes colors every panel.
