    A Pokemon roguelike heavily inspired by Super Auto Pets and Slay The Spire.


    Build a team of Pokémon and prepare for automated battles where your strategic decisions before the fight decide it's outcome. Take advantage of type synergies and effect synergies to maximise your strength. With every run being unique, the optimal team will look different every time - are you able to break the meta?



    Background:
    If you've played Super Auto Pets then you will understand how this game works at its foundations, however, I've expanded on the formula considerably by incorporating parts of the Pokemon universe into it. Another significant change to the Super Auto Pets formula is that this is a PvE experience, rather than the asynchronous multiplayer that Super Auto Pets uses.

    This is my first serious game development project. It's made in Godot and all art has either been pieced together from official GBA game tilesets (see credits) or made by hand. All music and sound effects are hand made. At this point, no help from anyone else apart from those who ripped the tilesets from the games. I won't reveal any plot points at this stage as that part is still in development.

    Features:
    ~140 Pokémon from Gen 1-3 each with it's own unique effect.
    A wide range of enemies will test your strategy skills.
    Special events change the trajectory of every run.
    Full in-game Pokedex.
    7 Illusion Trials: a difficulty scaling system that increases the challenge as you progress.
    Intricate synergy system.

    Looking for an artist for some cutscene images. I'd like them to be quite different stylistically from the game's current theme - so a lot of creative freedom for anyone interested. I can't pay but happy to make you a key contributor to the game and credit you exhaustively. DM me :)

    Some progress pics.

    First pic is the in-game Pokedex accessible by right clicking any Pokemon. There is also a full Pokedex of every Pokemon in the game accessible via the pause menu.

    Patch Notes - Version 0.35:
    • Added Wynaut, Wobbuffet, Snorunt, Glalie, Moltres, Pancham, Venomoth, Exeggcute, Exeggcutor, Poochyena, Mightyena, Jynx.
    • Added Brawly and Bugsy bosses and 2 more normal tier enemies.
    • Added Fresh Water, Soul Dew and Dark Egg items.
    • Added bubble shield logic.
    • Adjustments to the Pokedex to show which Pokemon cannot be obtained in-game (e.g. Jynx below is a boss-exclusive Pokemon) and what shop tier the Pokemon can be found at.
    • Added animated intro scene. See below!
    • Assorted balancing changes and minor polishes.
    It's hard to know when I will be ready to let people playtest the game. Feels like its not far away.
