    I just saw today's update on the Smash Dojo. Deoxys is in Brawl! Not playable, but it can come out of a Poké Ball to unleash a powerful attack, as well as Groudon, apparently. I wonder who else we'll see?~ If Lucario ends up non-playable, it'll definitely fall under here, na?
     
    I don't want to play as sick Lucario.

    They should add in Gardevoir to be playable <3
     
    XDD, I don't think they would, as Gardevoir is not... "animated" enough to be in such a high-speed fighter as this.
     
    if any pokemon would be playable it would probably be lucario or gallade
     
    I think they should boot jigglypuff and put lucario on. They put alot of hype on lucario and not gallade so i can tell you for sure GALLADE WILL NOT BE IN IT. But sonic the hedgehog will:P
     
    a sega character in a nintendo game? i doubt it.
    but lucario should be in it. i mean, they made a movie of it, why not put it in a game?
     
    Pichu and the 'puff should stay.
    Also, Treecko should be a playable character that evolves into Grovyle, then Sceptile when it gets powerful enough. :)
    Arceus could be playable as well, but it might be a secret pokeball Pokemon.

    Mm Lucario might be playable; I think they plan on using pokemon that even the non-pokemon player would recognize, so no Gallades or Arceus. (As a side note, my brother and I thought it was pretty silly you get all the plates for Arceus in the game but can't catch it without going to a special event...)

    And yes, Dave, they've already confirmed Sonic will be in the game. As well as that one dude from Metal Gear Solid, Wario, the angel guy with the bow from an old nintendo game, and some character from Twilight Princess. I wouldn't mind seeing some of the cast of Golden Sun or more Fire Emblem characters get in!

    For Pokemon though, Lucario would be a good one to use..I'll slap them silly if they put in Pachirisu or something.

    The plates can also boost the power of moves of certain types.

    When did Sakurai say that Sonic was confirmed?
    He said that he tried talking to the maker of Sonic, but nobody knows if he's going to be in Brawl yet.
     
    Oh that's right, my bad, I remember reading an article about someone from Sonic being in it, I think its very possible. And yes, I use the plates for half my team for power-ups. Pit is the name of the angel guy with the bow btw, yay. He'll be fun to use.

    Does the site say a possible release date?

    Yeah, It was revealed at E3 2007, that it's most likely going to be released on December 3rd.
    This thread's turning into more of a "character disscusion" thread.

    I have confirmation that sonic is in brawl so :p. And by the way brawl is using a few non nintendo characters for example solid snake

    the best part is that brawl will be playable online

    dude, how could lucario get in ahead of charizard? or blastoise?

    i want one of those two in, as playables, not just pokeball pokemon. blastoise could be like a water-spewing version of bowser, and charizard, well, charizard would just be awesome

    There is no confirmation that Sonic is in Brawl. There was just a discussion about it, nothing more.

    Anyways I'm looking forward to this game, and I hope that a pokemon such as Lucario gets in as a playable character.
     
    Lucario is cool, but Charmander should be playable! Shame he wouldn't be, but online will so rule, I get to be owned! Woot!
    I think they should have a Pokemon mode, play as any Pokemon, haha, but that's a no-no, take too much coding for ALL of those Pokemon.
     
    metal gear solid has been a game for nintendo ever since the NES series and i know because i still own the system XD!!! i do hope they allow you to play as some characters from Golden sun like sheba, jenna, or at least Isaac!!! also it would be cool if they put the younger version of zelda in it since from the Ocarina of Time!!! Maybe if im feeling good enough i may use ganondorf if they bring him back but wit his sword this time and also allowing him to transform into ganon (also from ocarina of time)!!! this game is gonna be the game to rival all games!!! i cant wait for it to come out so i can show everyone how skilled i am with zelda XD even though i already am on melee as well as sheik XDD!!!

    No. Nintendo just said that they're planning on getting Sonic in, but they've sent an authorization request to Sega, and so far they haven't answered. The deadline's July 26th, so it's most likely not going to be there.

    Oh, and please don't double-post, it's against the rules.

    But yeah, sorry for going off, but everybody, please get back on-topic about Deoxys, please.
