Suggestion: Supporter Only Pokemon Wallpaper?

As I was reading the community announcements for the new wallpapers made by TopHat, there was a slight detail that upsetted me:

"There's 15 to choose from, expect more very soon, and maybe some "supporter only" ones too."

Supporter only ones? Who's idea was this?

First of all, TopHat, the person who made these awesome wallpapers, made them for everyone. Why else would he make them all public and let everyone use them?

So why should someone else turn around and say "Only so-and-so people get this Wallpaper, not the other so-and-sos. Sorry."

NO NO NO

These wallpapers aren't even "the supporters" property to choose who gets it and who doesn't.

I say either everyone gets it, or no one gets it.

Feel free to call me an idiot, but I see no thread concerning wallpapers in the Announcement forum, unless you're digging back like a year or so. :/

Regarding the supporter perks, put yourself in the webmaster's shoes. you have a large and successful community, but are struggling to pay server costs. supporter perks exist as a big "thank you" to those who were willing to donate money through paypal to give the webmaster a hand. They're meant to be small, fun, and trivial things so as to create the incentive to donate. Download-able wallpapers happen to be just one of the few perks they get. :P

Ahh. It doesent matter who made the wallapers, he asked for permission to use them and now its his descision,HIS theme, so he can easily decide who get's what. You can't complain.

The wallpapers were made by TopHat, but the themes were made by Forgotten Memory for PC's use. If we want to make some of the variants into supporter perks, then that's well within our rights. Anyone can go download the wallpapers, it's the themes that would be supporter incentives.

I seriously think you're just trying to be overly dramatic and make an issue out of nothing. So I'm closing this thread now.
