Ive been wondering, how do ppl get around the horrible 'surf hits 3 pokemon' concept? Is everyone using gyarados with waterfall/aqua tail or are people actually relying on luck and using hydro pump? I prefer double battles over singles because they require more strategy and..its more fun ._.

Maybe do the move surf and the other pokemon you could have out is Vaporeon out. then it gets hit by a water nmove and gets HP back! :D

You could do like me, I have an Empoleon and Froslass set up together, if you are fighting 2 fire types or just one is a fire type....on turns you want to surf you can use protect...this protects the partner from surf and an icky fire attack on poor froslass. You can also use a Vaporeon, Mantine, Lapras, or any other pokemon that has the ability water absorb....although dont recomend having 2 water types together...Electric and Grass pokemons dream come true.

Gyarados is better suited for waterfall anyway, seeing that his attack power CRATERS his special attack and waterfall is a physical attack now.

Still, I hate nintendo for making surf hit everyone on the field now :disappoin
