Hi, could you guys rate my Swampert?

    Swampert @Chesto Berry
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Torrent
    EV's: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Sp. Def.
    Avalanche
    Waterfall
    Earthquake
    Rest

I tried using Cursepert in the 3rd generation, and I wasn't a big fan of it so I would like to avoid using it in the moveset.

I am using Avalanche/Waterfall over Surf/Ice Beam because they do more damage now with the physical/special split.

avalanche on swampert is pretty amazing, but only because it should have a lot more sp def EVs. you should really distribute the EVs more efficiently rather the flat 252/252/4 split, especially since its Swampert. it could really use about 116 sp def evs. i'd leave HP at about 188, attack at 156, and the rest, 50, into defense.

secondly, you may not need waterfall as physical attacking move as much as you think. it has STAB sure, but Swampert is going to be left with the challenge of taking down walls all the time, and i warn you that you'll rarely use waterfall. so i propose Brick Break in replacement of waterfall. afterall, getting rid of waterfall is only depriving you of taking out one threat: rhyperior, but no slightly decent battler would dare leave rhperior in with a swampert.

finally, i don't suggest you give it rest unless you have someone to Heal Bell/Aromatherapy.

EDIT: i also forgot to mention Stealth Rock over Rest. Swampert has a death wish in D/P anyway with a majority of special sweepers learning Energy Ball, so it's smarter to utilize the wonders of D/P just as much as your opponent plans to.

Ok, see, this is a subject I truly need help on. I sorta grasp the concept of EV's, but how do I change the EV''s of my pokemon?
